Ruby reminds me of many sixth formers i've taught, with a dash more Eeyore. She's just very young, and a bit tedious to watch. I do think her cakes must taste lovely though, because they look dreadful.
Kimberley should win, but she won't, because the slot for young, gifted, black lady cook is taken by that other chef who does the cakes, Lorraine Pasqual, is it? And the other Rachel Koo-esque one has the corner for pretty young thing, so it looks like Frances for the "Cooks like your mum and is a bit bossy too" cookbook / win.
I am still grieving for the 1970's inspired cookery show that Brendan never made. I once cooked a months worth of family meals from my nan's 1968 Good Housekeeping book, and the thing was, we all, including the kids, really loved them.
