Hi

I saw a message was posted on here a couple of years ago: should we be scared of David Icke? by AustralianBarny. I think we should be very wary. Icke's now starting a global TV/radio show, called 'The People's Voice'. He says a lot of people are just computer software (no souls). He calls thinking for yourself 'robotic' - ie using the left brain - logic, reason, analysis (see the trick there?!) He also divides people up into Lions and Wolves (his followers and himself) and Sheep (everybody else). The Nazis did this (google it). It's well-known that 'New' Age philosophies are basically Nazi philosophies re-vamped. And this includes Icke's: 'Some people are evolving, some aren't'/ 'Raising the kundalini'/ 'opening the third eye'/ connecting to 'the force'. A lot of this is aimed at the young. The 'New' Age also spends a lot of time telling you the Nazis were really 'love in action' and that 'death is a wonderful thing.' Imo, it's the inversion of the pentagram. Orwellian: Freedom is Slavery, etc. (Evil is Love). Luciferianism. Getting chucked out of Eden was a 'blessing', according to the 'New' Age.

If you DO 'raise the kundalini'/'open your third eye', it's known the consequences can mimic those of paranoid schizophrenia - ie you hear voices telling you people 'have to die'. Read some 'New' Age luminaries - Hubbard, Spangler, etc. And Icke's earlier works. These 'voices' never tell you to just love people. It's always: 'a lot of people have to die.'

Basically: if you have teenagers/friends who start getting into this stuff, I'd keep an eye on them. Mention its downside, etc. Icke, imo, is NOT just a 'harmless nutter'. This ridicule's meant a lot of people don't look too closely into what he's actually SAYING. And he now has a lot of followers worldwide.

Have a little lie down, OP.

ohforfoxsake · 14/10/2013 23:06

This is all down to that bastard penis beaker isn't it?

Latara · 15/10/2013 09:03

David Icke is another conspiracy theorist isn't he; one of my cousins (and his friends!) believes all that rubbish about the New World Order, Iluminati and what David Icke says.

I like Jon Ronson's book 'Them' which takes the piss out of these groups.

valiumredhead · 15/10/2013 09:08

Gobby-tbf I couldn't even watch Saville when I was a kid, it wasn't that hard to have him pegged, what I find weird is that anyone at all found out a shock.Urgh.

Ohwhatwitcheryisthis · 15/10/2013 09:12

My kundalini is staying firmly shut tyvm. Really-seriously-forsure?
i agree what IS your motivation for being here when the mail is looking for columnists?

valiumredhead · 15/10/2013 09:16

Dobbiesmum · 15/10/2013 10:04

Jon Ronsons book is wonderful, his account of infiltrating the Bohemian Grove meeting compared with the loon that he went with kept me warm on a cold night!
The David Ike forum is a wonderful study in what happens when a lot of people start to feel dumped on IMO, just look around the forum, the problems people face everyday are never anything that can be fixed by conventional means, it's always the fault of the powers that be, lizards, various chemicals, aliens, Jews or women.
Studying people like this is a bit of a hobby of mine, it can be a bit of a laugh but it can veer straight towards out and out hate and bile. It certainly helps if you don't just automatically dismiss them as weirdos but rather counter arguments with facts if your children start to get interested in things like this.

Btw, 'new age philosophies' were not Nazi Philosophies, rather certain ideas that were taken and twisted by them at the time to fit in with their own ideals.

ScarerStratton · 15/10/2013 11:11

Chemtrails.

That's one of my favourites.

Dobbiesmum · 15/10/2013 11:13

The chemtrails are always interesting, it's the PsyOps that fascinate me though, nothing ever just happens, it all has to fit in with a certain pattern to fool the general public.

LonelyGoatherd · 15/10/2013 12:21

Dobbiesmum · 15/10/2013 12:29

Hi again

Icke is starting a global radio/TV station. It airs next month. This is not the action of someone who is incapable ...

Actually, a lot of 'New' Age ideas are Nazi philosophy, to the letter. This has been confirmed, many times. And the 'New' Age spends a lot of time trying to explain away the Holocaust, and telling you that the Nazis were really showing Love, and if you were 'evolved' enough, you'd see that.

If this all sounds insane to you, I suggest you do the research yourselves. Easy to laugh at it now, before it really gets started.

People are always oh so surprised when things go horribly wrong. It's because they don't pay attention to all the warning signs beforehand.

Again: once Icke's TV show gets started, if any of you have teenagers, etc, who start taking it seriously, I'd drop the sceptical attitudes (how much do you know about this, anyway?) and start taking it seriously ...

As I said in my OP: the ridicule attached to Icke has meant a lot of people don't take him seriously, and so he's got away with saying a lot of very dubious things, and people still laugh at the idea he could be a danger.

A lot of you have certainly proved THAT point ...

If you want to laugh at it AFTER you've done the research: fair enough. But to just dismiss it out of hand ... don't take so much for granted.
