I can't adequately express it, actually. I have met my best friends here. I laughed and cried and celebrated and commiserated here. It's been about seven years, I think, which makes you all my longest ever relationship (I met you a week before I met DH).

A rl friend linked the fucking Penis Beaker thing from FB earlier and it gave me the rage (apols to penis beaker OP) because I am so protective and proud of you all. I don't like that we are known for penis beakery and not known for being the wonderful warm place I love.

You raged with me when I needed to vent about my cunty ex. You slapped my virtual arse when I was a dickhead (often). You've even banned me once or twice. But my love for you (collective you, all eleventy million of you plus MNHQ) has never wavered.

So I just wanted to say that I love you all. Some more than others , but you are all part of the rich tapestry of my wonderful Mumsnet so it's a general love-in.

I love MN and it has really got me through some dark times.

However I hate threads like this as no one ever cuddles me or snogs me or acknowledges my existence

No way you're bu OP! I originally found MN through a thread on Digital Spy which took the piss out of MN. Now I've stayed here and no longer go on Digital Spy - MN is so much better! I have learnt so much here from penis beaker to serious things like financial abuse. It's been a education being on MN!

I've also found there's a good 'sense of community' here on MN which I've never really found on any other forum I've been on.

I luffs MN too and it has got me through some dull times, hard times and made me laugh. even though Reality accused me of being the poo troll the first time I ever posted, because it was such an unlikely sounding occurence and yes I have NC since then

I love MN, I think in MN threads at times, I want to use the acronyms and emoticons in RL.
I have been found sat on the kitchen floor watching an empty washing machine cycle, I have cried with the woolly huggers, rejoiced with the re found toys, laughed at the poo pouffe, and penguin date, identified strongly with some on the teenagers threads I have learn so much (but still google when told not not to ) I swear more, challenge more (did you mean to be so rude) think MN is better than google. if I have a question I ask MN and usually get lots of info, advice and support. yes there are some numptys who come on just for an argument but on the whole most are great fun and I feel like I belong to something, sad really but I feel like I have friends even though I don't know anyone. i am sure I over share and bore folk but who cares, no one really knows me I hope long live MN I say

YY to this - especially when I'm writing emails to friends or on another forum, I always forget I'm not on MN and want to talk about my DC and put in a nice smiley
