A hand-counter is a perfectly fine thing for Tesco to sell.

But calling it a Totty Clicker? Really, Tesco? Really? I know you're just a marketplace for someone else here, but still....

If you have a strong stomach, here is the copy:
"Totty Clicker The Totty Clicker was made famous by a Mr. Ben Affleck in a Lynx television advertisement. Tally counters were usually carried around by large burley bouncers for counting people entering clubs and bars, but thanks to the Hollywood star there has been a keen following of the Totty Clicker ever since. The Totty Clicker is the latest 'mancessory' used by young gentlemen whilst wetting their whistle at the local public house or 'Disco.' These Cad's click their Totty Clicker tally counters when smiled upon by a good looking filly, thus creating a competitive sport in which to embark upon on an evening. Chap's all over England are exercising their right to judge whether they think they are 'Wed worthy or not' at the click of a button. Competitive sports have always been popular with the young men of this country and Totty Clicker's have just added one more to the books. The Totty Clicker comes in a chrome finish (this can also be used as a reflective instrument to comb ones..."

I know I got a distinction too!

NeoMaxiZoomDweebie · 30/08/2013 15:56

Hey! I see what's happened here...if you click on their Toys and Gadgets section which is where this tat is listed, there are loads of shitey bits and bobs and they're all from other websites...so the description is provided by a retailer OTHER than Tesco.

But Tesco need to rethink this as they're putting their name to illiterate, sexist shite. this is provided by Find Me a Gift which is a well known crappy gift site. Tesco must be changing their model...

Greydog · 30/08/2013 15:56

do you have to take off points if someone tells you to fuck off with your clicker?

JamieandtheMagicTorch · 30/08/2013 15:57

Neo

I though it must be something like that. Tesco's are so ethical most of the time

Squiffie · 30/08/2013 15:58

NeoMaxiZoomDweebie · 30/08/2013 15:59

ShatnersBassoon · 30/08/2013 15:59

All bow down to Dr Arnie. He's like Dr Phil I think.

Secretswitch · 30/08/2013 16:01

Oh God, please not another thread where we must post our credentials!
Btw, I am guessing a mancessory would be a penis?

JamieandtheMagicTorch · 30/08/2013 16:01

Neo

Oh yes, I was being ironic (hence the stray apostrophe).

It pains me that there are twerps who would write such twaddle about such a bad product in the first place

JamieandtheMagicTorch · 30/08/2013 16:02

I've got Grade 1 BAGA.

I'll forward roll anyone who gets in my way.

Our nearest Morrison's has delusions of grandeur due to the only other shops in town being Waitrose, M&S and prize winning posh butchers.

NeoMaxiZoomDweebie · 30/08/2013 16:04

Jamie sorry didn't mean to be short...just wound up! Grin

Dawndonnaagain · 30/08/2013 16:04

I got my Doctorate from somewhere that actually required me to work for it. Only a tenner from Cantab isn't it?

MurderOfGoths · 30/08/2013 16:04

That is daft of them, when you are that big a name you need to be able to have some form of quality control, even for external retailers.

ShatnersBassoon · 30/08/2013 16:04

I went to the University of East Anglia Life. I got an ology. You get an ology, you're a scientist. I also hold a valid Tesco Clubcard. Beat that!
