'that much'

how on earth do you know how much bleach I use? Confused

LouiseD29 · 15/08/2013 19:28

Eeuw, bit grossed out by this thread. If people don't wash their hands after going to the loo, when DO they wash them?

Flossie82 · 15/08/2013 19:32

Well, soaking the cloth in it between every use
a lot of problems are caused by the obsession some people have with bleech, anti bad etc everywhere. A few germs will do no harm (obviously if immune suppressed etc that would be a bit different)

GoodTouchBadTouch · 15/08/2013 19:39

Your cloth lives in bleach? When its not even a day old?

You don't think hot water would do?

ImNotBloody14 · 15/08/2013 19:42

yep in bleach between uses then machine at the end of the day. i'd rather that than have it dirtier than a toilet flush handle which some people seem almost proud of Hmm it's for wiping dishes I eat off- I don't think i'm odd in expecting it to be clean.

ImNotBloody14 · 15/08/2013 19:45

as for immunes supressed, I started keeping my own house when ds was 4 months old, as far as I know, babies are considered to be at higher risk? I started with good hygiene practises and didn't stop just because he hit 1 year old (or whatever the age is), plus I have visitors in- any of them could have lowered immunity without me knowing.

MakeGlutenFreeHay · 15/08/2013 19:59

It's just automatic, surely? And about the only time my children wash their hands...Blush.

I shower every day too, but do often wee in the shower....well, it's sterile as it comes out and the water washes it straight away!

Flossie82 · 15/08/2013 20:00

Lowered immunity isn't the same, your son is probably at higher risk of asthma etc.

I never use bleech. DD is nearly 3 and (excluding baby possett) has been sick once in her life - which in pretty sure was travel sickness not a bug

OverTheFieldsAndFarAway · 15/08/2013 20:01

Ew, for gods sake wash your hands you minger.

WipsGlitter · 15/08/2013 20:03

OMG. You wash your hands but piss in the shower?? Splashing everywhere all round your feet?

ImNotBloody14 · 15/08/2013 20:03

lowered immunity isn't the same as what? and why is my son at higher risk of asthma?

he's 8 now btw, his brother is 4- neither have asthma.

ImNotBloody14 · 15/08/2013 20:04

those who don't wash your hands- did you teach your dcs to wash their hands after the loo?

whatsaduckdo · 15/08/2013 20:11

Just read the first page of this thread, then skipped to the last- I suspect I don't want to read what's in between, I've got the heebie jeebies already. Ew, ew, ew.

MakeGlutenFreeHay · 15/08/2013 20:13

I also get chilblains. Pissing on your feet is a useful cure. Also for jellyfish stings - although they don't tend to bother me much in the shower....

Anyway I have good aim. Goes straight down the plug hole....

therumoursaretrue · 15/08/2013 20:13

YABU that's quite disgusting.

Pobblewhohasnotoes · 15/08/2013 20:45

I always wash my hands, I think it's disgusting not to. Especially in public toilets. I'm a nurse so I'm a bit funny about having clean hands.

sparklingstars · 15/08/2013 20:47

Yuck. Always wash your hands, it's gross not to.

shufflehopstep · 15/08/2013 20:55

Lots of people saying there are more germs on a kitchen cloth etc etc. There may be but it's the type of germs. Even folding toilet paper so it's double the thickness doesn't stop germs as others have said. Do you clean your bathroom around your toilet or just in it and then dust? It's the same mentality. Many germs are airborne and will land on the toilet seat, flush, toilet paper roll. You should also spend the same amount of time it takes to sing happy birthday washing your hands. And not just after you've been to the loo.

littlemog · 15/08/2013 21:27

By 'pissy hands' I meant that (as I have said before upthread) germs will penetrate loo paper and find themsleves on your hands even if you don't think they have. Hence the need to wash your hands EVERY TIME.

The sheer filthiness of some people really grosses me out as does their cavalier attitude to other people. If nothing else it is courteous as when shaking hands with people in work situation it would seem to me to be polite not to have piss and shit germs all over your hands.

usualsuspect · 15/08/2013 21:40

Do the wee germs land on the towel you dry your hands on?

OnTheBottomWithAWomensWeekly · 15/08/2013 21:40

I wash my hands, but seriously, the hysteria here is madness. Talking about poo and wee all over your hands...do you need lessons in how to use a toilet? What are you doing in there? Confused

There are 200 times more bacteria on the average chopping board than a toilet seat. You'd be safer making a salad in your loo than your kitchen most of the time.

WillyandTig · 15/08/2013 21:43

The average chopping board though. Not mine. Wink

Anyway, of course all these average things have more germs in. People with pissy hands aren't going to clean anything else properly are they. Their toilet will be cleaner because they won't touch the seat with their germy hands whereas a chopping board they will.

usualsuspect · 15/08/2013 21:48

If the wee germs are floating about, they will be on the taps and the towel.

Unless you all have sinks like in hospitals and do that elbowy thing.

ImNotBloody14 · 15/08/2013 21:49

who the fuck doesn't clean their chopping board after they've used it? Confused why are they holding dirty kitchen cloths and chopping boards up as proof that it's ok to walk around with pissy hands?

WipsGlitter · 15/08/2013 21:49

What illness do you get from "Wee germs"?
