To ban this child from ever setting foot in my house again?

I babysat my friends children at the weekend. Because I am lovely I fixed her iPod and have connected it to my account so she can download any of her apps she fancies. I also let her download some freebies.

Then, because my niceness knows no bounds what so ever (I am very modest too), I let her use my Ipad.

Before leaving she then gleefully informed me she had downloaded Justin Bieber pictures and wall paper onto it. Angry

She knows how I feel about the monkey abusing child spitting fuckwit. She knows I think less of her for listening to his drivel and mooning over his pictures.

AIBU to think she has committed the technological equivalent of walking into my front room and taking a dump on my sofa?

I pointed out that I don't waltz into her bedroom and decorate her walls with pictures of Tome Jones, and she laughed at me!

Honestly. I am shocked and appalled at the youth of today.

Flobbadobs · 13/08/2013 16:33

Buy her a box set of Bing Crosby for Christmas. That will teach her!

HoneyDragon · 13/08/2013 16:34

I have to say it... LTB!

How old is this Belieber? I thought the age limit was 12?

HoneyDragon · 13/08/2013 16:39

She's 10. I thought I'd got through to her but she has had a recent resurgence.

I made her a Justin Bieber birthday cake too. I refer to it as the cake of shame Sad

YouTheCat · 13/08/2013 16:47

She'll grow out of it. Grin

HoneyDragon · 13/08/2013 17:13

But she violated my iPad!

YANBU.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 13/08/2013 17:30

Yabu - it could have been that tw*t Harry Styles, and that would have been worse.

elfycat · 13/08/2013 17:34

Isn't 10 the age of criminal responsibility? Can you sue her in a civil case to help her understand the severity of her actions?

I'm not sure you can ever touch that iPad again as they cannot be boil-washed. I'd be asking the parents to replace it. It was a deliberate act of vandalism, not an accident, after all.

gobbynorthernbird · 13/08/2013 17:36

Restore to factory settings and start again. It's the only way.

cocolepew · 13/08/2013 17:38

The sooner they bring back Conscription the better.

HoneyDragon · 13/08/2013 17:39

You realise that as my invisible Internet friends you have all been tainted by the Bieber?

counting pigeon (my auto correct won't allow your name) a bit of wee nearly came out then.

FancyPuffin · 13/08/2013 17:49

That's horrendous Sad

Can't you Burt bomb her

FancyPuffin · 13/08/2013 17:50

Just realised she's 10.

So, perhaps not Hmm

HoneyDragon · 13/08/2013 17:53

Yeah, Puffin I think there are probably laws about Burt Bombing minors.

Tell her that you've had a listen and realised that actually he's really good. Suggest you go to his next gig together and you can both dance and scream. That'll teach her.

Or just hold out a couple of years until you can remind her frequently and publicly of her actions. Buy some Bieber tat now and save it for her 14thbirthday

HoneyDragon · 13/08/2013 18:16

She would LOVE it if I went to a Bieber concert with her Grin

ThinkAboutItTomorrow · 13/08/2013 18:34

Well then the answer is clear. You were the one detailing your all round loveliness. Exactly how lovely are you?

HoneyDragon · 13/08/2013 18:36

Not that lovely Hmm
