Have NC-d in case this isn't normal. Naice ham, gluezilla, yoni etc.

Do you wee in the shower? I never used to and would have thought it pretty disgusting. But since having DC things aren't as they used to be & now if I need to, I just go.

why is it so "dirty" to wash away fresh bodily fluids in the shower? does no-one else shower during a period? (looks like bleedin' Armageddon in there - for 2 min 'til it washes way!), have to wash puke out of kids hair when they haven't quite made the loo, as for a back spreading babypoop.. omg.... it's not like the bath/shower never gets cleaned...

KrazyKurls · 09/08/2013 08:24

I do, since having DC3 I can only wee standing up!

I really need to go see a dr about this but just can't face any prodding or poking at the moment so in fine with seeing like a man Hmm

teacherandguideleader · 09/08/2013 08:24

It was a private gym with cubicles as opposed to the 'open' showers you often get at swimming pools. No idea what she was thinking.

grumpalumpgrumped · 09/08/2013 08:24

DH erm wanks in there too, why he felt the need to share this piece of information is beyond me!

overitalready · 09/08/2013 08:36

So where does this bacteria come from then? Is it from the body you're washing in the shower?

Abra1d · 09/08/2013 08:56

The shower itself may not be as clean as you think. It is warm and humid in there. Unless you scrub it out every single time thoroughly there will be bacteria in the shower already. Then you add your urine.

No wonder some people's showers smell.

Balaboosta · 09/08/2013 09:03

Not in my own shower Wink

ComtesseDeFrouFrou · 09/08/2013 09:48

So those of you who cut yourself shaving your legs would shower again afterwards and clean the shower out Hmm. So the bodily fluids reason doesn't really hold water (snarf).

I really don't see why this would be a problem, particularly if, like most shower pee-ers seem to, you pee at the beginning of your shower.

celticclan · 09/08/2013 09:49

I was shocked when a work colleague admitted doing this. I find the idea gross.

TroublesomeEx · 09/08/2013 09:50

It's not about laziness though!

Emilythornesbff · 09/08/2013 09:52

YANBU.

comixminx · 09/08/2013 09:57

Can't believe so many people find it so gross! It's perfectly normal I'd say. YANBU.

TroublesomeEx · 09/08/2013 09:58

Just asked my son (15).

He does it too.

My daughter (7) said she doesn't, but now she's going to start.

Surely if that much bacteria was being left to fester then the shower cubicle would indeed smell. Like a peed on carpet or a pair of pants would do.

But the 99.9% of the wee is going down the drain with soap and hot water. The rest of the showering action would splash away most of the wee that got on the screen/curtains/wall, whatever.

My cubicle doesn't smell. And yet i pee in it when showering. It gets cleaned once a week.

I wouldn't wee in any kind of communal shower however. Like the ones where the water runs all the way through everyone's showers form end to end.

SoupDragon · 09/08/2013 10:10

I only do if I'm in there and need a wee. Sometimes the running water does that. It all ends up in the same drain and I bet more water goes down the shower plug hole than goes down the toilet

soontobeslendergirl · 09/08/2013 10:13

So, all you shower wee-ers, no-one asnswered my earlier question.

Would you be happy for a male to stand and wee in your wash hand basin on the basis that he would be rinsing it with soap and water when he washed his hands afterwards. Genuinely interested. Sames goes for the kitchen sink I suppose.

TroublesomeEx · 09/08/2013 10:17

slendergirl Probably not but then I wash my face in the basin and wash my food/dishes in the kitchen sink.

My feet stand in the bottom of the shower.

I would be perfectly happy with someone else wee-ing in the shower.

soontobeslendergirl · 09/08/2013 10:21

Do you walk about on your floors with those feet? Do you change the bath/shower mat every day?

Sorry, but i am really not getting this at all. Confused It just seems lazy to me.

soontobeslendergirl · 09/08/2013 10:23

believe me, my house in not pristine and a germ free haven, but I just don't see why people would wee in the shower when there is a toilet there.

fluffyraggies · 09/08/2013 10:23

Same as folkgirl.

The standard of hygiene around a kitchen sink is higher than in your shower tray i would hope!? I don't put menstrual blood or hair in the kitchen sink for eg.

Peeing in the wash hand basin?

Personally i don't wash in water being held in the basin. I wash in the shower or use face wipes. I clean my teeth using running water from the tap. So ... personally it wouldn't bother me, no Grin

But someone is very unlikely to piss in the sink next to a toilet. No? And i would be more concerned about splashing in that situation as it is not confined like a shower cubicle.

fluffyraggies · 09/08/2013 10:26

The floor gets washed - but i don't eat off it.

Worse comes in off the street on shoes/pram wheels/pets feet than the possible microscopic amount of urine that MAY be on my feet from when i wee'd in the shower, dried myself and walked away. And i change my bath mats and towels twice a week.

soontobeslendergirl · 09/08/2013 10:26

But someone is very unlikely to piss in the sink next to a toilet. No?

You'd think not wouldn't you? But I bet most people's shower is next to their toilet too.
