I am still Thor the Threadkiller but not only am I wearing a disguise, I am also on holiday. I don't mind hun and stuff (lightning bolt strikes), but last week I had to explain what 'hubby' meant to some German friends, and it made me cringe in embarrassment on behalf of the people who say hubby.

? that's all I can offer sweetie xxx

QueenMaeve · 01/08/2013 11:27

It is creeping in everywhere I tell you. Even on Instagram, I'm noticing increased use of the lil' abbreviation for little

Elsiequadrille · 01/08/2013 11:31

It's too fluffy for me all that 'hun' nonsense. And the kisses at the end of every post.

I haven't noticed it much, fingers crossed they haven't infiltrated too far.

Elsiequadrille · 01/08/2013 11:32

I can't stand LO, also. I had to look up what it meant after reading it on here (little one for those who also have no idea).

GingerBlondecat · 01/08/2013 11:35

(((((((((((((((Big Soft cudly Hugs))))))))))))))) Hun, Mwah

Weegiemum · 01/08/2013 11:36

If you say fuck and cunt and call people a wankbadger they probably won't Hun you.

Hun xxx

Emilythornesbff · 01/08/2013 11:39
Confused
fluckered · 01/08/2013 11:39

reading it here makes me cringe.

hearing it in RL makes me violent.

Emilythornesbff · 01/08/2013 11:41

I Use LO. Blush
It's useful if I can't remember whether op is talking about a ds or dd.

fluckered · 01/08/2013 11:47

I use lo as well. have to laugh at "you ok babe?" I see that on fb all the time from a "friend" that posts one liner updates such as "god some people need to learn to shut the fuck up and mind their own business". so frickin attention seeking.

never heard of "makes my teeth itch" til I came to MN. its annoys me. lol no reason really. just does.

Emilythornesbff · 01/08/2013 11:51

I haven't seen any xxxxx here though.

Mustn't be spending enough time on MN. (see? dH)

Callmedreckly · 01/08/2013 11:52

Our site, Our rulzzzze hun.

BRB Grin

Callmedreckly · 01/08/2013 11:56

Oh how I hate lil, really really hate it.

1, It reminds me of an old lady's name.

2, people don't say, heres a photo of my lil woman, so why do they say - lil man?

Arghhhhhhh.

Elsiequadrille · 01/08/2013 12:03

They should all be banished and shipped off the The Land of Hun. Where the sky sparkles, they all dress in pink, and the language is text speak.

ForgetfulNameChanger · 01/08/2013 12:13

Oh don't get me started on lil man (or little man too). NO TICKERS WILSON!

[ticker for time passed since last bowel movement]

I am so incensed by all this that I may have to go for a protracted lie down. I hate hate hate hun, hunni, babez etc and what's this new one I see creeping in - referring to a female friend as 'wifey' - WTF is that one?

LO is just awful, lil for little is beyond awful - let's keep this shizz off MN!

nemno · 01/08/2013 12:27

I am avoiding a certain MN topic because of this :(

YANBU

madoldbird · 01/08/2013 12:48

I'm getting increasingly frustrated with the "unmumsnetty hugs" that have been occurring on here recently. I'm seeing more and more each day, which therefore is starting to make them "mumsnetty unmumsnetty hugs". We will soon need "unmumsnetty mumsnetty unmumsnetty hugs"

fluckered · 01/08/2013 12:51

unless we flip it and start using hun to mean "horrid ugly numpty" or something.
