AIBU?

To not fancy Brad Pitt or George Clooney and other cliches of our time

This is meant to be light-hearted and if you have an enormous crush on either (or both) of these fine actors, then fair play to you but am I alone in thinking that a lot of lazy, cliched chick lit presumes that just cos you're a heterosexual woman in your 40s you're automatically gagging for these two? Feel free to add your own most hated cliche, chick lit or otherwise.

Not into any of the guys mentioned. Ive always had a bit of a thing for Bruce Willis in his younger days.

Jason Statham is the man I drool over :)

Ive got a thing for slightly overweight redheaded men. My ex OM was like this. Closest thing to ex OM is actor Chris Larkin.

I like Samuel West because he seems like a nice guy.

But Clooney Pitt Cruise etc just leave me cold.

Clinton...yy still
Mark Foster

I have never understood the Brad Pitt thing either. He does just look filthy. He seems like a nice guy, I'm sure he'd be a good addition to a dinner party (after he took a shower).

George Clooney is so ridiculously handsome. I know it's cliche.

Never understood the Brad Pitt thing either, or George Clooney for that matter. Johnny Depp is average, I can sort of see the appeal but don't think he's anything special. NEVER understood the Beckham thing, he's average looking and his voice drives me to distraction. Don't find any male models attractive, Channing Tatum isn't nice, Tom Cruise= boak.

I like John Cusack, Alan Rickman but I think his voice gives him the edge rather than his face so he'd have to talk throughout a sex session to remain attractive Grin, oh Al Pacino... Particularly in the godfather and his much earlier movies too. Jason Statham is alright but I can't abide his false 'American' accent he insists on putting on in his movies nowadays, I don't get it! It's bloody terrible. Daniel Craig was more attractive in the girl with the dragon tattoo than in Bond, the fact he's Bond kind of puts me off him because Bond as a character is such a dick.

I like Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire. I get excited for Christmas for many reasons but one of the major ones is the fact I get to watch Holiday Inn Grin.

I forgot Colin Firth. Only like him in Bridget Jones though, the Mr Darcy thing doesn't do it for me. He's a bit of a wet lettuce but I quite like that. Hugh Grant is awful.

YANBU. I've never been remotely interested in the typical Hollywood types (although tbf I wouldn't kick Hugh Jackman or Taylor Lautner out of bed).

Richard Armitage has been my #1 man for several years (and incidentally is even more gorgeous in RL than he is on screen Grin ).

Lots of the comedians already mentioned - Greg Davies, Rhod Gilbert & Jon Richardson.

Richard Osman...saw him on Sarah Millican last week - he has a fine line in double entendre which made me think he'd be absolute filth!

I like my redheads Damien Lewis in Homeland S1, Ed Sheeran & Rupert Grint Blush .

Older men - Harrison Ford & Pierce Brosnan.

Frequently get the piss taken out of me at work since I confessed to having had crushes in my twenties on Rowan Atkinson, Martin Clunes & Ben Elton outs self completely.

Oh I don't know, they've had their moments. I'll take BP in Mr and Mrs Smith and George C in Three Kings and Out Of Sight.

Ooh just seen Jeff Goldblum mentioned. Yes please, was hot to trot in The Fly (until he started picking bits of his body off) and Mr Frost. Liked kim in Independence Day too - sexy geek mode.

I've never fancied George Clooney/Brad Pitt/Tom Cruise etc either. I like men a bit dirtier

However, I will admit to a dirty, stinking crush on Tom Cruise after watching Rock of Ages. I've never liked him in Top Gun/ Cocktail, too smooth, but dear god, with a pair of leather trousers and a set of hair extensions and he is fiii-iiiinnnneeee!

Slash from Guns and Roses is my one, true love though

Fore they have to be funny and/or nice to be attractive.
I always found Dan Ackroyd very attractive in his younger days - especially ghostbusters and Blues Brothers Grin

MyFairyKing · 30/09/2014 09:37

George is nice but a little old for me. Wink I never got the Brad Pitt love, he's not ugly or anything, just an average looking bloke.

I used to have a big crush on Johnny Depp but it's waned a lot.

They all leave me cold too . I have funny taste in men and like a confident, overweight funny guy. Had big crushes on John Goodman, Dan Ackroyd, Robbie Coltrane.

ebwy · 30/09/2014 10:56

I never thought much of any of them... except for Tom Cruise but only as Lestat in Interview With The Vampire.

So apparently he's more attractive dead :-\

YADNBU! Fed up of being constantly told how beautiful these men are. David Beckham is another one who's charms are lost on me. Good job we all have different types really I suppose. I think James Blunt has got'' it'' and I do find Tom Cruise attractive.

I have never fancied any of the so called "hunks"

I will admit to having a slight massive crush on slash (guns n roses) and skin (skunk anansie) and still do

I have really weird taste in men. I adore Ed Sheeran, Stephen Merchant and Russell Howard. I think it's the funny, dorky thing that they have going on.

Also Alec Baldwin. But only now, not when he was young Confused I'm 24, so kind of out of my age bracket now!

No don't do it for me.

It's just delicious David Beckham

poolo - I quite like Colin Firth too these days. He was great in "A Single Man" and "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier Spy". He looks good in the trailer for "Before I Sleep" too. He's grown on me with age.
