And actually have nothing better in their lives than to argue black is white just to piss people off?

OP posts:
nenevomito · 21/07/2013 20:56

So, in a nutshell, someone posted something, some agreed, some disagreed and someone was a twat.

That sums up every fecking thread in the whole of AIBU.

crazynanna · 21/07/2013 20:56

Cooee Stratters!

I have a false sense of security. And femininity. And normality.

False enough for y'all?

skylerwhite · 21/07/2013 20:56

In fairness, the u and ur thing could have been confusing in an AIBU thread

LtEveDallas · 21/07/2013 20:56

Fuck that, thread is far to long.

I just read the end bit, where posters were telling each other to fuck off.

Lizzylou · 21/07/2013 20:59

Excellent summary UnexpectedGrin
The dog owners were the sensible ones have to say.
It was like being stuck in a washing machine though, going round and round and round

I lost the will to add to it in the end.

babyhmummy01 · 21/07/2013 21:00

No scottoshmumny that wasn't it at all. Dog owners were agreeing that the uncontrolled ones bounding up causing a nuisance etc were out of line and unnecessary. What we were discussing was that adults and kids alike need to learn that just because a dog is on a lead doesn't give them carte Blanche to run up & hug/fuss. It had nothing to do with having a go at anyone who doesn't love dogs.

OP posts:
Xihha · 21/07/2013 21:00

Unexpected, the rest went along the lines of:

Particular poster: but the law says x,y,z
other posters: no it doesn't
Particular poster: but the law says x,y,z
other posters: no it doesn't
Another poster asking advice about how to teach their kids to interact with dogs
Some advice
Particular poster: but the law says x,y,z
other posters: NO IT REALLY DOESN'T

Babyh you're doing it again!

Xihha - thank you and I'm pleased I left when I did.

tethersend · 21/07/2013 21:06

I don't start fights, and I'll deck anyone who says otherwise.

HoneyDragon · 21/07/2013 21:07

Oh

LtEveDallas · 21/07/2013 21:10

The only shoes MuttDog ever chewed of mine were my bloody brand new expensive birkies. Fecking dog. Could have chewed a mountain of other cheap crap that killed my feet, but no, just the ones that cost me an arm and a leg.

I nearly inserted them when I caught her...

LEMisdisappointed · 21/07/2013 21:16

My dog is a little orange bastard

southeastastra · 21/07/2013 21:19

only read op and can't be arsed to read whole thread

i tend to wander in with my opinion and start ww3, it isn't intentional, just i don't tend to agree with alot of people on here especially

i don't get what the nothing better in their lives comment.

do you not have nothing better in your life than to start this thread?

arguing debating is part and fun of the internet

Uptheairymountain · 21/07/2013 22:34

Hmm at starting a goady thread, just because some people don't like your stinky mutts. I grew up with dogs - they're crap pets compared to most other animals and tbh, just because a dog is on a lead doesn't necessarily mean it's under control. What if it lunges at someone without provocation? Don't say it wouldn't happen because it does.

My advice is to get a better pet. Hamster owners, for example, don't walk their animals along the road, whining about people who don't like them; they keep them at home where no one else has to be bothered by them.

ARealDame · 21/07/2013 23:08

Wow, OP. I sort of thought of starting a thread like this myself.

Sometimes I think there are some very angry (and sometimes stupid it must be said) MN women literally champing at the bit to get in there and get furious with some OP asking a perfectly reasonable question.

I also wonder have the nothing else to do.

scottishmummy · 21/07/2013 23:15

I think some of you act as if should carry pomander because you're exposed to mn ruffians
Mn is boisterous, can be blunt,it's acerbic it's also funny, and a snapshot of another pov
The fact that its lightly moderated, lacks shiny stuff, and you can swear is big plus

HoneyDragon · 21/07/2013 23:17

Massive lol at carrying a pomander for the Internet ruffians

Pigsmummy · 21/07/2013 23:22

I asked my cat, he is busy writing a poem about wanting cash for his wedding whilst socialising with another cat that he met through another cat whom he didn't invite out, he walked over the kitchen surface and he claims every benefit known to feline kind and is over/under weight with tattoos and piercings in places that alpha cat would deny existed. curlew · 22/07/2013 00:01

My dog is proposing to pigsmummy's cat. The first inter species wedding ............
