No scottoshmumny that wasn't it at all. Dog owners were agreeing that the uncontrolled ones bounding up causing a nuisance etc were out of line and unnecessary. What we were discussing was that adults and kids alike need to learn that just because a dog is on a lead doesn't give them carte Blanche to run up & hug/fuss. It had nothing to do with having a go at anyone who doesn't love dogs.

at starting a goady thread, just because some people don't like your stinky mutts. I grew up with dogs - they're crap pets compared to most other animals and tbh, just because a dog is on a lead doesn't necessarily mean it's under control. What if it lunges at someone without provocation? Don't say it wouldn't happen because it does.

My advice is to get a better pet. Hamster owners, for example, don't walk their animals along the road, whining about people who don't like them; they keep them at home where no one else has to be bothered by them.
