And actually have nothing better in their lives than to argue black is white just to piss people off?

OP posts:
northernlurker · 21/07/2013 19:52

You have a point OP. I've just seen somebody tell a poster she shouldn't exterminate a wasps nest because it's her son's fault he got stung Hmm

usualsuspect · 21/07/2013 19:53

Oh the dog threads on here are bonkers ,OP.

Just ignore 'em.

LRDYaDumayuIThink · 21/07/2013 19:53

Mmm, if it's the dog threads, TBH I think people get het up on both sides of it. Like most things.

Trigglesx · 21/07/2013 19:53

god no, but equally don't go out of my way to deliberately wind folk up either

Seriously? Might I refer you back to your OP? Grin

EllieArroway · 21/07/2013 19:56

If you still don't understand, you can always read the thread again. It might be embarrassing for you, though

Wasn't it "what's the point of praying?". How is that a "prayer thread"?

What might be embarrassing for me? I'll have to go and find it.

babyhmummy01 · 21/07/2013 19:56

usual what's wrong with xxx?

triggles wasn't done to wind up just to find out if I an the only one who felt this way and am not according to some posters which is all I wanted to know

OP posts:
ilovesooty · 21/07/2013 19:57

there have been a few threads where 2 posters on particular have deliberately gone out of their way to goad etc, its quite easy to spot on these threads

You could have reported them instead of starting a thread designed to goad.

Pore old me :(

Not exterminate a wasps nest? For why not, all the evil stingy little bastards should DIE. One of my best afternoons was spent watching one go up in flames, I HATE THE BASTARDS.

Some people are very odd.

I don't actually think people are deliberately winding people up on the dogs threads. People genuinely have very strong points of view about animal threads. Me, I'd just neuter all animals, full stop Grin ducks

xylem8 · 21/07/2013 19:59

Poster 1: Giraffes are lovely!
Poster 2 No, they are horrible!
Poster 1 F*ck off, grow up and take your spitefulness somewhere else you miserable hate-riddled goady goading troll

LRDYaDumayuIThink · 21/07/2013 19:59

I mean, FFS, if you don't like religion, why go on threads about it? If you hate feminism, why do you need to go on a thread and spend hours on the wind-up about it?

I think all of this is trolling, TBH, and if MN were like the rest of the net it would be banned.

ilovesooty · 21/07/2013 19:59

In fact, you could even have communicated your concerns on the relevant threads.

Itstartshere · 21/07/2013 20:01

Cough cough

Some EPIC goading going on there today, thankfully now deleted.

Salmotrutta · 21/07/2013 20:01

I suspect thi thinly veiled reference to false information may be referring to the thread about expecting people to teach their children to be respectful around dogs.

There was a lot of "fact" about The Law flying about - most of it seemingly contradictory Hmm

LRDYaDumayuIThink · 21/07/2013 20:01

What's the issue with silent reporting, TSC? If there's something where there's one horrible post and ten outraged ones eloquently explaining why it's shitty, I don't see the point bumping the thread so more people see it and get upset.

scottishmummy · 21/07/2013 20:01

And some are professionally offended pwincess who see every ord in screen As an attack,or slight

MrsWembley · 21/07/2013 20:01

Triggle, sorry, I've been looking and I can't find the [sadface] troll - it might have been in Chat.

Right, off to watch Clarkson et al. Now there's a goady fucker.

usualsuspect · 21/07/2013 20:04

Yy, it is trolling. LRD.

Most other websites would see it as trolling, but MNHQ don't for some reason.

Trigglesx · 21/07/2013 20:05

I think I'm missing the point then. Why would people be talking about the "Law" on a thread about teaching children to be respectful around dogs? Confused See, now I'm going to have to go find the thread and read it. Hmm

"professionally offended" ... words designed to piss people off anyway. And for heavens sake, clean up your typos, I can barely read through them! Hmm I'm offended, dammit! Grin

LRDYaDumayuIThink · 21/07/2013 20:05

It would be nice for my bloodpressure if they did, that's for sure.

Trigglesx · 21/07/2013 20:06

MrsW that's ok, thanks for looking. I will have to do a search mission for it later. Grin

skylerwhite · 21/07/2013 20:07

LRD [waves] I don't know about that - I think people can feel strongly about an issue/topic, and it's not necessarily trolling. Should we all stay away from threads that we disagree with?

But I think going on a wind-up is different, though.

libertine73 · 21/07/2013 20:10

HoneyDragon That was awesome Grin
