MrButtercat · 13/07/2013 20:13

God I can't wait until they get rid of credits, they are the benefit which annoys me the most.

Plastic surgery is one of the most over loaded deps on the NHS.My 8 year old dd had a lump removed on her face, she needs further surgery to make it perfect.Not.a.hope.in.hell.

We don't have the cash.Have never recieved a bean in benefits bar CB which we're losing. In the shit ht bracket of just being over the threshold.Soooo pleased dp works every hour god sends and we don't have the spare cash to pay for dd in order to fund the above.

Any savings done on the back of the tax payer should be forcibly removed. If you can save you don't need benefits.

LuisSuarezTeeth · 13/07/2013 21:13

Your comments make you look an utter arse Buttercat. You have my utmost sympathies for being in the ht bracket.

See my bleeding heart?

MrButtercat · 13/07/2013 21:21

Give a shit,me,no!

Yup it's great being just over, you get barely more each month left over than those on benefits.Utterly ridiculous.

Either tax is too high or benefits are too high.

Sorry if people are saving 5k in 18 months they don't need TC,I don't pay silly tax to enable people to save.I'd rather pay less tax and be able to save and pay for my own dd's op.An op she actually deserves.

TC will go eventually and I can't wait.

OldMacEIEIO · 13/07/2013 21:23

If you do have to have a new nose, make sure you pick it yourself

yamsareyammy · 13/07/2013 21:27

JakeBullet, did you get some sort of answer from MNHQ?
Am surprised really that the thread is still alive and kicking.

propertyNIGHTmareBEFOREXMAS · 13/07/2013 21:29

Tax credits are going nowhere, sorry. They are being renamed Universal Credit but most claimants will transfer happily across. And a good job too Smile

LuisSuarezTeeth · 13/07/2013 21:41

Are you not getting that this thread is a wind up Buttercat?

It's great being on benefits. Having more going out than you have coming in. I'm sorry about your daughter - but stopping TC won't solve your problem.

MrButtercat · 13/07/2013 21:43

Reducing it so people can't save 5k in 18 months would save a shed load of tax.

McPie · 13/07/2013 21:57

Personally I spend mine on feeding my 3 dc!
It makes me sick that my arthritic dad (worst case seen by dr in years, full body excluding ankles) has had his money stopped even though he has been told he is unfit for work and no one would want to employ him but you have saved money given to you for your dc to burn on a cosmetic operation. I will let you tell my mum to manage her money better whilst she makes herself ill worrying about how to pay her bills and not lose her house.
This country is getting worse day by day!

MrButtercat · 13/07/2013 22:01

I want my taxes to go on people like McPie's dad ie the unemployed not savings accounts.Really don't agree with propping up salaries, sorry.

Said my bit but not posting anymore incase of feeding a troll.

Lj8893 · 13/07/2013 22:02

Buttercat, what about the people that get Tc but can't afford to save any amount of money......how do you suggest they manage if its reduced?

SsimTee · 14/07/2013 10:40

You don't deserve the tax credits because you obviously don't need them (having a nose job is not a "need"). Disgusting. Whoever says it's your money, you can do whatever you want to do with it is talking bullshit. It's not your money, it's the taxpayers, like mine and my husband's for example.

BoulevardOfBrokenSleep · 14/07/2013 12:23

It's no more immoral than OAPs using their winter fuel allowance as spending money for their cruise.

The benefits system is one size fits noone all, doesn't take into account whether you live next door to an Aldi, or whether you pay a £4 bus fare just to get to a Tesco for example. So some people will need more than others. That's how it goes.

MrButtercat, if you're completely losing CB then your DP is earning over £60k which is around £3400 a month after tax and NI. Obviously, that calculation doesn't include anything you earn yourself.

This is more than people on benefits have coming in. [statement of the bleeding obvious]

LEMisdisappointed · 14/07/2013 12:40

LMAO at people being able to save 5k in 18 on tax credits - oh, that hurts :) If anyone believes that they are, niave, at least.

Mrs Buttercat - would you rather these people just go onto unemployment or whatever benefit it is because without tax credits they wouldnt be able to afford to live???? Really?

Did the OP ever come back? Seems to me this is a wind up??

Oh and fuck off those of you who say "oh its not your money, its tax payers money" We get tax credits - we also, um, you wont believe this - PAY FUCKING TAX just like you people who think you are oh so much better.
