Sorry folks but this nosy poster has form for inflammatory posts. Thibk she just reads the comments for her article/tv show and quotes whatever fits her agenda.

congresstart · 12/07/2013 14:31

If the kids are going with out then yes it is immoral..simple as that really, other things come before a nose job.

Wannabestepfordwife · 12/07/2013 15:36

So the op has a large nose, likes to write inflammatory posts and goes by the name of Kate.

Op are you Katie Hopkins?

CoolStoryBro · 12/07/2013 15:38

I've not read the whole thread but, OMG, I'm sniggering at "There you go, Pinnochio"

yamsareyammy · 12/07/2013 15:44

She has posted and ran, so could indeed be a journo.

JakeBullet · 12/07/2013 15:59

I have reported the thread and asked MNHQ to have a look at the OP. bet she works for The Wright Stuff, they are all over this site.

ouryve · 12/07/2013 16:06

Why not get your boobs done, while you're at it? BiscuitBiscuit

LuisSuarezTeeth · 12/07/2013 16:49

Jake how do you know this about the OP

JakeBullet · 12/07/2013 16:53

I dont know for sure but she (?) has form for this type of thread. Inflammatory first post and then not returning. Makes me suspicious about her motives tbh.

KidderminsterKate · 12/07/2013 17:02

Lol...... Am def not Katie Hopkins..... I work full time and am lone parent to 5children. I earn a decent enough salary and am careful with my money. Decided to save tax credits as could see gov was changing things and wanted to ensure I could manage.

I have a roman nose that I've always hated and felt self conscious about.

Kids are fed clothed and do activities. We're off on holiday in a week so they are getting money spent on them. I don't get wtc just child ones with childcare element. Ex pays nothing as is seriously unwell.

Most people could manage their finances better .....I don't havesky tv, smoke, drive a 15 year old car, make do and mend , cook from scratch etc

And no debts

Wannabestepfordwife · 12/07/2013 17:07

If you have a roman nose don't change it! My mum has one it makes her look exotic

bearleftmonkeyright · 12/07/2013 17:37

Thanks for the financial lecture O P. Well done on saving up you're tax credits when the rest of us are frittering it away on feeding and clothing our kids Hmm

ElectricSheep · 12/07/2013 17:40

What a twattish thread OP. Grossly insensitive to those who are struggling to afford to eat on WTC.

YABVU - keep your money you and your kids will need it when universal credit comes in later this year.

frissonpink · 12/07/2013 17:42

You earn and decent enough salary, yet still get child tax credits?

You saved because you wanted to ensure you could manage?

You're now actually wanting a nose job (not sure how that ensures you can manage).

Think I might go and quickly pop out another 4 kids just so that I can save up £5k off the economy for a 'rainy day' nose job' Hmm

yamsareyammy · 12/07/2013 19:44

KidderminsterKate. Why did you only come back on this thread a couple of hours after JakeBullet said she was reporting you?
[though you may have been hard at work for the last day and a half].

ShadeofViolet · 13/07/2013 16:45

make do and mend

Why not make do with the nose you have then and give the WTC you obviously dont need somewhere it can be put to better use.

DoraExplorer1993 · 13/07/2013 16:54

Can't say this thread reveals anything surprising, the only difference between OP and most people on benefits is that OP has a basic capacity for money management. Most tax credits recipients who plead poverty do so because they piss away the money every month and don't understand where it goes. It is of course true that many people (though I suspect a lower proportion) who support themselves through work are the same, and never manage to save anything because they waste everything every month.

It's very often the case that the poor stay poor because they waste the money they do have and never build up any wealth. Probably an unpalatable truth on this forum but there you go.

QuintessentialOldDear · 13/07/2013 16:57

If you dont need the money, how about give to charity

FoundAChopinLizt · 13/07/2013 17:01

I wouldn't have a nose job if you paid me £100000. How can a new nose improve your life? I don't get it?

DoraExplorer1993 · 13/07/2013 17:06

How can being less ugly improve your life? Obviously people want to discourage cosmetic surgery, but asking silly questions doesn't help the campaign.

frissonpink · 13/07/2013 17:10

Most tax credits recipients who plead poverty do so because they piss away the money every month and don't understand where it goes.

Wow. Really? Do you want to swap household budgets with me then and see if you can manage? I can assure you we piss nothing away and I run an excel spreadsheet so I can see exactly where the money goes.

What an arrogant, nasty, unnecessary post.

The poor stay poor because it's quite hard to 'build up wealth' when you earn £6.19 an hour. Hmm

DoraExplorer1993 · 13/07/2013 17:14

I've worked for much less than £6.19/hr, and always managed to save something Smile

ComposHat · 13/07/2013 17:28

do not feed the troll repeat do not feed the troll.

bearleftmonkeyright · 13/07/2013 19:13

I think this thread is going to eat itself. It really has been such a pisstake. I really don't care op, what you spend the money on. You have come on here specifically to lecture people about how wonderful you are at saving money without a thought for other people's circumstances. Do what you want, you don't care if yabu. And Dora, have a medal for being such a wonderfully outstanding citizen. The unpalatable truth is disgusting, there are people living in poverty. But you are clearer better than that. Well done. I am so glad you can save money on minimum wage. Your circumstances are clearly much better than for most.
