on netmums other sites you have to use your real name well unless of course you had a made up name on registering

I get MrsTP, which reminds me of toilet paper and Terry, which I like. Strictly, it should be Lyn as that is Mrs Terry Pratchett's name.

Maybe you could change your MN name to S OP, then it couldn't be shortened any more?

samandi yup, a little UR, sorry. I will shorten to the first syllable (unless it's "the" or there's an obvious break, like sally)
Personally, I prefer Miss Busty. (that makes me sound like a smutty matronly Carry On character doesn't it?! Aaaah, maybe Lusty is fine....!!)

Mine gets shortened to Alvis or Avis all the time. I frequently have to check it is actually me who is being responses to!

But at least I'm not being ignored eh!
