When a friend suggests we meet for coffee, I immediately think about what kind of cake the coffee shop might serve.

Ifancyashandy I am willing to test various cakes for you in the hope that one day I will find one that you like. I am sure that I will succeed, it might take me many cakes and many years, potentially a lifetime, but I am willing to make the sacrifice for you and any other MNer that hasn't found the right one yet.

I made three types of cake yesterday. Chocolate banana cake. Apple and raspberry sponge with raisins. And cherry and almond muffins.

I'm in charge of a cake stall next week and planning a day of baking. Will probably do mars bar cornflake cakes, Malteser tray bake, lemon dribble, and may attempt a rainbow cake. Any other ideas?
