or is it just where I live? everyone is wandering around in pjs, go to the shop someone's there in pjs, bobbing out of each others houses in pjs, kids on the park not dressed. I don't even like putting the bin out in my pjsGrin am I missing a new craze or something

I love the word waft.

You should do it usual, be all Norma Desmond down the shops.

likesnowflakesinanocean · 12/06/2013 21:22

can you imagine trying to sleep in wellies. I've got four dressing gowns, but I get up and dressed straight away so they are pointless but they seem to be the Christmas gift of choice Grin

I can honestly say no one has ever come into my office wearing pyjamas.

usualsuspect · 12/06/2013 21:24

It's an M & S dressing gown so it's not rough

Teesside here. Very usual.

Unfortunately.

Not me though!

freerangeeggs · 12/06/2013 21:29

I don't do it as a mark of respect. For the war.

LeGavrOrf · 12/06/2013 21:30

People fighting in Afghanistan in order that you gallivant round shops in dressing gowns either!

Have some RESPECT.

LeGavrOrf · 12/06/2013 21:30

Lol freerange

usualsuspect · 12/06/2013 21:32

Oh Marj,

Come on. In one sentence you are saying you are not judging and then you use the phrase clothes etiquette. I nearly spat my tea out laughing.

At the end of the day, you are judging someone by their clothes which is quite snobby. And not once have I said that I am better than you. Hell, I don't know you. All I am saying is that the attitude of those that comment on someone's attire is generally one of being better than they are.

And no, I have never worn PJs or tracky bottoms outside of the house.

LeGavrOrf · 12/06/2013 21:35

At least it wasn't BHS.

My daughter always laughs at me for looking in the windows at clothes in Dorothy Perkins. You should hear the way she says Dorothy.

LeGavrOrf · 12/06/2013 21:36

Don't put the pack of OMO in your front window though. You know the code.

usualsuspect · 12/06/2013 21:36

But I will wear it with pride.

ChubbyKitty · 12/06/2013 21:36

I see it a lot round here. I sometimes wear it out to the bin when I empty the cats tray but that's it, and I live on a dead end with driveways and privacy. I've never even gone to doctors or hospital in pjs!

usualsuspect · 12/06/2013 21:37

We were talking about the omo code at work todsy

LeGavrOrf · 12/06/2013 21:41

Do they still sell OMO? I would just shove some in the front window and wait eagerly for the knock on the door.

LeGavrOrf · 12/06/2013 21:41

Mrsdv are you going to the shindig on 29th?

I am not on facebook so am out the loop.

motherinferior · 12/06/2013 21:43

I feel quite cheated. I never see these slatternly PJ wearers around. I could be all laid-back and tolerant and I don't get the chance.

Ilovemyself · 12/06/2013 21:44

MrsDevere. I don't know what nerve I have hot but your response was pretty snappy.

And just because you live on a social housing estate doesn't stop you from being hyacinth bucket ( or is it Bouquet lol).

Call it bewilderment, or whatever you want. You have still made a simple judgement based on their looks.

I am sure that in many ways you are a lovely person, and life has thrown some crap in your direction. It doesn't make you any better than me than it does me better than you. Or anyone else for that matter.

And that's why this sort of post makes me compelled to answer.

LeGavrOrf · 12/06/2013 21:45

That is exactly how I felt when I just had dd and breast fed her all over the place. I wanted someone to tell me off for feeding her in cafes and I was outraged that all I got were approving smiles.
