To think a lot of the women on The Apprentice look...

....a bit porn star-y? Masses of fake hair, nails, loads of make up, lip gloss. Yikes! I don't know any senior women at work who look remotely like that.

Oh, and Karen Brady has upgraded her hair stylist this season, no?

All style, no substance. Three loses in a row, how embarassing

wordfactory · 16/05/2013 21:45

What pees me off is that not one of these women look like a modern professional business woman! They look like they've escaped from the 1980s!

squoosh · 16/05/2013 21:45

Remotecontrolduck that's what I thought when I saw Uzma too, someone who is trying to disassociate themselves from their true ethnicity.

JamieandtheMagicTorch · 16/05/2013 21:46

Oh I know. It was utterly embarrassing yesterday in the Boardroom. The screeching, the talking over each other.

But my least favourite contestant is still the twatty arrogant Football man (sorry, terrible with names)

kungfupannda · 16/05/2013 21:48

The blokes are equally irritating. They seem to be trying to out-posh one another.

francesdrake · 16/05/2013 21:49

Half the men could stand to investigate razors too.

pigletmania · 16/05/2013 21:49

I cannt stand that man, the 39 year od one, who said that he would cheat and manipulate to get where he wants. After hearing that no respectable company would want to employ him. The women would be best suited to the playground not any boardroom

sassytheFIRST · 16/05/2013 21:50

Usma has a distinct look of Divine Brown...

They are all v attractive young women. If they got on with the job instead of troweling on the slap, they might perform better. Presumably they're all pretty bright as well.

So why in the name of all that's holy are they dressed and made up like extras from Hollyoaks (nightclub scene)? And where's the fecking sisterhood???

fromparistoberlin · 16/05/2013 21:50

yanbu!!!! I thought same

Its the stripper heels, kill a work outfit

JamieandtheMagicTorch · 16/05/2013 21:50

The one I mentioned needs to shave his neck

I like beards, but overly sculpted ones, or ones that go down the neck are not on.

pigletmania · 16/05/2013 21:50

And tat shaved eyebrows man, aghhh

JamieandtheMagicTorch · 16/05/2013 21:51

I think the woman who is a doctor may go far. She seems pretty sound.

sassytheFIRST · 16/05/2013 21:52

Word factory - yes! They looks like they've escaped from the Addicted to Love video, via an industrial fake tab machine.

gazzalw · 16/05/2013 21:52

The women all look like clones...not what I find attractive at all.....

kungfupannda · 16/05/2013 21:53

I think I could live with the make-up if they'd just tie their bloody hair back!

pigletmania · 16/05/2013 21:53

Oh jamie will take a look at te website. I don't know if I can watch next weeks Apprentice at this rate. Fire the lot of em

hermioneweasley · 16/05/2013 21:53

Agree the guys are awful, and "eyebrows" is quite astonishing. Haven't seen third episode yet, but I was particularly struck by the consistency of the women's look this year, and how incongruous I find it with a desire to be taken seriously and be known for what you are good at (not what you look like). It does seem that they are all there to try and launch TV careers, rather than establish themselves as a serious commercial or leadership force.

Yes. It's the intelligent(ish) woman's route to fame - as opposed to Big Brother for the less well educated.

Ilikethebreeze · 16/05/2013 21:56

Its a TV show.
Everything else comes after that.

hermioneweasley · 16/05/2013 21:56

I remember a woman who was a serious political force in the democratic party (Donna Brazile?) saying something like - "wear flat shoes. Men don't click clack along the corridors of power and nor should you."

OP posts:
eccentrica · 16/05/2013 21:57

They all need a boil wash and a hair cut. Grim. And not attractive except to their male equivalents. Who are also hideous.

hermioneweasley · 16/05/2013 21:58

Ilike - I get that it's a TV show, and clearly very good at entertaining us all. It's just that there's been such a noticeable change in how the women look this series and for many of us it is in such sharp contrast to our experience of women in the workplace (what this show claims to be about).

OP posts:
hermioneweasley · 16/05/2013 22:00

Eccentrica - you can talk! Aren't you the triple breasted whore of Eroticon 6 (or SImilar?)

OP posts:
Decoy · 16/05/2013 22:01

YANBU. I don't like the look of any of them.

I don't agree that "taking care of your appearance" has anything to do with make-up, hair extensions, fake tan, false nails or stupidly uncomfortable stilettos.

As long as someone looks clean and tidy, none of the above are required.
