My mother thinks I'm trying to poison my dcs I think

Surely as an occasional meal about 4 times a year it's not that bad?

Yanbu!
Is it all finished or can I come round for left overs? :)

StuntGirl · 10/05/2013 20:30

Sounds like a good meal any day of the week Grin

glenthebattleostrich · 10/05/2013 20:30

Can I have tinned spagetti with mine instead of beans and what time should I be there? The only reason DD doesn't get food like that is because I refuse to share eggy bread

ilovexmastime · 10/05/2013 20:30

I can't see anything wrong with it. What's wrong with your mother?! Wink

DawnOfTheDee · 10/05/2013 20:30

That sounds yummy Smile

Fairylea · 10/05/2013 20:31

What's wrong with that?? It's got protein, vegetables, carbohydrate....! All fine :)

We sometimes have pancakes for dinner... now that IS bad :)

INeedThatForkOff · 10/05/2013 20:31

Sounds great.

Just as an aside, my cousin's 'D'H has mortally offended my aunt, his MIL, by complaining that her delicious food - lasagnes, cottage pies, casseroles, cauliflower and mushroom cheese - is crappy student food. He is a twat.

MrsPresley · 10/05/2013 20:32

YABU, beans should never be on the same plate as any other food, except a baked tattie!

AllYoursBabooshka · 10/05/2013 20:33

Oh God yes, I want exactly that... Right now. Yanbu.

I have no eggs and no bacon though.

PorkPieandPickle · 10/05/2013 20:33

YANBU Sounds yummy, I fancy making that myself!!

Floggingmolly · 10/05/2013 20:34

It sounds delicious. Didn't your mum ever give you anything like that?

KitNCaboodle · 10/05/2013 20:35

Mmm, eggy bread. YANBU

OldRichandGrateful · 10/05/2013 20:36

Sounds lush.

Two portions over here please - with a cup of tea- two sugars!!

chickensaladagain · 10/05/2013 20:36

My mother thinks if there aren't 3 veg and 'proper' meat on a plate, then it isn't a proper meal

Pasta is really quite scandalous!

stealthsquiggle · 10/05/2013 20:37

I want that now. Do you think DH would mind if I rejected the meal he has just cooked and demanded that instead Grin?

Floggingmolly · 10/05/2013 20:37

Student food, INeedThatFork???? On what planet? On this one student food is Pot Noodle and kebabs.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 10/05/2013 20:39

It sounds perfect!

ShadeofViolet · 10/05/2013 20:40

What is eggy bread?

CombineBananaFister · 10/05/2013 20:41

YABU-you've given me dinner envy Envy.

Think people are too hung up on mealtimes and type in general especially when you look at other cultures and what they eat throughout the day -each to their own I say,no more food rules!

AllYoursBabooshka · 10/05/2013 20:42

It's what Heaven is made of.

Jinty64 · 10/05/2013 20:43

No, no, no. Eggy bread and bacon should be served with fried tomatoes. Beans is just wrong!

hugoagogo · 10/05/2013 20:44

eggy bread=eggy toast I think.

No bacon for me please.

TigerSwallowTail · 10/05/2013 20:44

Eggy bread? Is that French toast?

SybilRamkin · 10/05/2013 20:45

Shock at ShadeofViolet! It's bread dipped in beaten egg then fried in a pan till crispy and golden and delicious...

It's sometimes called French toast, and the French call it Pain Perdu ("lost bread" because it's usually made with stale bread).

MrsKoala · 10/05/2013 20:45

Well I wouldn't have it for dinner. I would only have that for breakfast. But sometimes when everyone is out i have a packet of biscuits and 2 cups of tea (one to dunk, one to drink) for my dinner :) So just have what you want!
