Are we allowed if we can't stand the Guardian and prefer the Independent?

Is this a new quiche?

Hullygully · 07/05/2013 16:14

Do two a quiche make?

Perhaps not yet.

I'm middle class and (basically) a leftie but can't bear the Guardian. So no.

DeepRedBetty · 07/05/2013 16:21

Yoo-hoo Quesadilla I'm doing tea and cakes in the next room along the corridor.

wannabedomesticgoddess · 07/05/2013 16:22

I read the guardian (online) and consider myself a leftie but I am not middle class and never will be.

Do I count?

OxfordBags · 07/05/2013 16:22

That describes me!

notsoyoniface · 07/05/2013 16:22

Whats wrong with the guardian?

AnythingNotEverything · 07/05/2013 16:23

Me too.

You can be middle class AND a former teenage parent, right?

gindrinker · 07/05/2013 16:24

Yup. Waves.

Pontouf · 07/05/2013 16:25

Me! Love the Guardian and consider myself to be MC despite being slightly too poor to really count Blush. Definitely a leftie.

quesadilla · 07/05/2013 16:25

I hate its smug tone and in-with-the-north-Londom gang assumptions, that's what's wrong with it. I also object to taking lectures about social democracy from people who are 80 per cent plus Oxbridge and wealthy.

lambbone · 07/05/2013 16:25

Me! Me! Pick me!

quesadilla · 07/05/2013 16:26

And yes to tea and cakes please Betty

EauRouge · 07/05/2013 16:29

Yes to all three.

BitBewildered · 07/05/2013 16:30

I'm a Guardian reading leftie, but way too skint to be considered MC. I'll just loiter ...

Arkady · 07/05/2013 16:30

Guardianista Pride March? I'm in.

FrancesFarmer · 07/05/2013 16:30

Count me in.

It's a good newspaper. Always something interesting to read. And I'm happy with the leftie slant as the internet seems to be dominated by angry right-wingers.

Amrapaali · 07/05/2013 16:31

But quesadilla its heart is in the right place. So can I sign on please?

quesadilla · 07/05/2013 16:32

Middle class is a state of mind bewildered. And by the way there are several middle classes. A Telegraph reader and a Guardian reader are both (probably) middle class but worlds apart.

apatchylass · 07/05/2013 16:35

I am but only by default. Guardian is so twee and annoying but DH buys it daily because he loves being the only Red in our resolutely Daily Mail village. Leftie and MC, oh yes.

DeepRedBetty · 07/05/2013 16:36

Unfortunately dtds and their friends have snaffled most of the decent cakes. Only some cornflake chocolate crispies left, and they're looking a bit tired.
