AIBU?

To think Victoria Beckham really has it all? Baby Harper is too adorable for words

including her other kids.

I don't know if it's pretty shallow (but I like fancy stuff Grin) but I can't see many women refusing her life and wardrobe. I could do without the fame - have no interest in that at all.

VB has managed to:

  • Stay thin (something a lot of women would kill for)
  • All her children, esp Harper are adorable. No dodgy looking kids for her brood
  • So much money. Never ever has to worry about providing for her kids
  • She's attractive
  • Her Husband is pretty cool.
  • She has family support

She must know she has a pretty enviable life!

She makes having a family SO attractive. On the streets, I just see harassed parents.

She has and unfaithful dh.....no thanks.

She pays a high price for the life she has. The only thing I envy is an adorable DD as I have an adorable DS. Would like both incase people misinterpret that.

I wouldn't swap lives with VB in a million years.

She is achingly thin, which isn't her natural body shape and must be a punishing physique to maintain. In fact it must rule her whole life. I wouldn't want to restrict my diet to that extreme degree for anything in the world

Oh sorry I thought she meant 80% in real life.....my bad. Didn't realise that so many on here had cheating husbands, I missed that survey :-)

If you saw that in a beany hat wandering through Romford market, you'd be pulling your handbag real close

Hahahahahahahahahahaha Grin Smile Grin

I have often said that DB wouldn't look out of place serving burgers in Mcdonalds*

*not that there's anything wrong with working in Mcdonalds Grin

Yes and dh is way sexier than db and can string an intelligent sentence together.
I bet she doesn't look all that nice naked either. I've got skinny friends who look fab in jeans but awful naked.

Nope. Baby Harper is no more adorable than all the beautiful babies out there.

Yabu.

She isn't naturally that thin, you only have to look at the early spice girl days to see this. She was slim but i'd say more a size 8/10 than a 4! So she clearly doesn't eat very much and what she will eat will probably be very restricted- I suspect no or very little carbs and probably no gluten. She probably feels enormous pressure to stay that thin because she's made it 'her look' now and if she dared to gain weight she'd be hounded for it.

She has to always worry about how she looks, even doing a menial task like taking the DC to school. I mean, you know how you feel when you know people are going to be taking pictures- you feel the need to dress up, do make up etc, she feels like that every day. She has to wear awfully uncomfortable clothes too. She's constantly followed around, cameras being poked and prodded in her face, camera flashed in her and her DCs eyes, tens of men shouting in her face etc. I wouldn't want that for all the money in the world.

She has no privacy! Everything she does or has done is out there for the world to see.

So yeah, she might have millions in the bank, beautiful kids and a 'handsome' (I still don't see it!) husband but she pays a big price for it. I love VB fwiw but I don't envy her.

I don't envy her because I think she must have incredibly low self-esteem. The gub on her, the self-conscious face-touching, the ridiculous outfits she must spend all morning planning and executing. Who'd want to live like that? So fame-hungry, so desperate for attention. It's to be pitied surely?

And I never understand why people think she's such a great mother either. How on earth would anyone other than her nearest and dearest know this? Because you see a papped shot of her holding her daughter whilst mincing from car to hotel?

I do wonder what the dynamic in that family will be like when Harper hits her teens and weighs more than her mother. If Harper decides she wants to live off a cup of endamame beans a day too and hone the skeletal look her mother sports, will that be ok?

Hate being the nit picker that picks at one point but that does seem a helluva high number. I think I'll make a quick exit out of here in case it's catching & my other half runs of with some wee skank :-)

I think it's pretty off to attack a woman for her body. 'Too thin' is as vile as saying 'too fat'.

VB is a successful businesswoman with a long lasting marriage and four children who are visibly cherished. She has a nice life. So do many. many other women and in common with them if you asked her to choose between the money and the kids you know she would say the same as any of us.

She looks miserable and she looks like she suffers with a SD. She is painfully thin, not something most women I know aspire too.

I did read VB rarely smiles as she had very wonky teeth as a child, hence the dour pose all the time as a self defence mechanism, so she doesn't open her moth. We all have one thing we don't like about ourselves, and even though she's had her teeth fixed, that insecurity will stay with you

I think they are well balanced parents actually. They do strike me as "warrevah" parents in that they won't pressurise their children to conform; the only expectation I've ever read about is that they demand good manners. Which is no bad thing is it?

All that about no privacy - they have chosen that. Plenty of celebs bigger than them do not get papped every day, they have deliberately turned themselves into a circus and are reaping what they sowed.

Do people really think that is the kind of slim most people wish they could be?

I thought she was stunning in The Spice Girls but she looks ill to me :(

Her children are no cuter than any others you see out and about.

Her husband cheats and has a girlie voice.

She seems like a very needy attention seeking average talented average looking woman who got lucky.

You never see other kids their parents don't tip off the paps and get faces pixilated unlike the Beckhams, oh and they use the buggy or their child walks, except Suri.

I am a bit Hmm about 'dodgy looking kids' as well.

VB looks good, has handsome husband and family and job she likes. So there's a lot for us to see and envy, but we only know a tiny facet of her life.

Comparison does you no good at all.
