AIBU?

To think i must be a miserable old cow with regards to all the hilarity on the recent threads

I mean, people are ROARing with laughter - literally wetting themselves, crying with the hilarity of it all. Hmm

There must be something wrong with me because, yes, i think its funny mildly amusing and i enjoy reading the threads but can't be arsed to wade through the yoni stuff and will post that i think its funny or try and contribute but im a miserable cow so never find anything funny to say

Also the threads would be much shorter an easier to read if folk were to refrain from posting their reaction "oh i have just wet myself" type posts. Then everyone else thinks that they hve to keep up "oh, ive just popped a hernia i've laughed so much"

I love the funny threads, really i do, but i can't seem to muster more than a wry smile. Is it just me???

I love the silly things people have said/done threads. They have actually had me crying with laughter. Can we have another one of those please?!

My Mum claims that all the Chinese food in our area had been pissed on!

Its because she once saw some veg left outside one Chinese take-away and assumed a dog might just cock his leg!

whenever I suggested we have it for tea, she claimed that is how it would taste.

I know that is not chips

When you get back from soft play, Fanjo... as you've quoted from my post twice...

The 'club' is not royalty or a clique. I'm referring to a 'them and us' that develops on many threads - call it 'for and against' or whatever you like. This isn't a very 'live and let live' community, you either agree with a standpoint or you don't. Posters seem very keen to 'label'. For every view that people shouldn't post on a thread they don't like the look of is the alternate view that is just as valid but is no reflection on anybody.

There have been multiple threads on the same thing. I find that pretty tedious, whether they're about Margaret Thatcher or a meme/joke. I don't bitch about in PMs, FB or anywhere else but say it here, in the open.

It's easy to take posts out of context but I'm not getting at anybody for what they like/don't like, I really don't have a view on what other people find funny or not. I've been surprised to find that there were other people who aren't Morcambe and Wise fans, I thought I was the only one.

Add me to the list, please. I couldn't stand them.

I truly am a miserable cynical cow, but I genuinely laugh to the point of tears over things I read on here sometimes.

Me too. I snorted and choked and practically needed oxygen on some of them. But usually you have to be there. Spin off threads and endless mentions are rarely funny.

I get particularly weary of seeing a very funny thread where someone, eager to join in on the wit and banter, gleefully contributes with 'Fruit Shoots and Gregg's sausage rolls. Hahahaha' Or shouts the word cunt over and over.

Hmm

Maybe once, three or four years ago I laughed, but now, not so much. Stop please.

I genuinely don't think you can/should tell/ask people to stop joking around in a way they find funny just because you don't agree.

LyingWitch..re your comments..that was a much kinder way of putting it, the way you said it second time, yes.

Was that to me Fanjo? I was only joking. Of course I wouldn't demand that they stop on my account. I just don't respond if I find it tedious. Also as people join all the time and trawl through archives/classics they might be seeing it for the first time and thinking it's all hilair, which is was once, but I find it hard to muster a Smile after the 98th time.
