This silly girl (I refuse to accord her the status of lady or woman) has the most incredible sense of entitlement. She thinks that parking in a disabled parking bay is striking a blow at the establishment and is an act of non conformity. Actually what it is is an act of monumental cruelty. I suffered a stroke last year and my husband is disabled with severe mobility problems. When we find no spaces available for the disabled because unthinking people have parked there without entitlement it causes us real pain and real inconvenience.
She then goes on to include her poor mother in her ridiculous comments by uttering what must be lies about her experiences. She maintains that she gave up on getting a Blue Badge for her mother because you have to renew it every year -"like she is going to suddenly walk again". This is a lie - Blue Badges are renewed every 3 years and yes some peoples conditions do improve so it is right that the authorities review individual circumstances. She then goes on to utter another lie by claiming it is too complicated to complete the paperwork - well if you are unfortunate to have Learning Difficulties it would be a little difficult but the helpful people in your local office will help you complete the form. However, I assume that as Miss Jones is a journalist that she has a grasp of literacy that should make the completing of this form a very simple affair.
I am convinced that she has never attempted to fill in a Blue Badge form in her life.
This article is only one of many in which she has displayed her crass stupidity and cruelty. She writes about colleagues and "friends" in a way that ensures their humiliation. She obviously believes that you give to receive because she is always moaning how her saintly kindness and generosity is never repaid.
In the stupidity stakes she excelled herself recently by berating various Express outlets of various supermarkets for not stocking low alcohol wine which she wished to provide for an alcoholic friend. My husband is a recovering alcoholic(by God's Grace 9 years sober as of yesterday) and one of the worst things you can give an alcoholic is low alcohol or even no alcohol wine - ridding the body of its craving for the taste of alcohol is part of the cure and Miss Jones is causing her friend real harm . A little knowledge is certainly a dangerous thing.
She bemoans the fact that her RF-BF never wants to be intimate but her self absorbed world does not link this with her need to have umpteen cats on, and in, her bed, The truth I believe is sadder than this. I really believe that the RS-BF is an imaginary figure because no one could possibly put up with her behaviour for more than 5 minutes.
She is also a menace behind the wheel of a car. Now I would never undertake on a motorway but I do understand how a frustrated driver might succumb to the temptation when confronted by Miss Jones breaking the law - yes Liz that's right - if you are being undertaken it means you cannot, at the same time, be overtaking yourself and the purpose of ALL outside lanes is for overtaking ONLY.
One of the contributors here says she refuses to get angry with LJ because that means you win. That is all very well but when someone's bad behaviour is risking another persons well being then those of us who understand civil behaviour need to point out to her, and people like her, just how disgusting her behaviour is.
Poor Liz needs to stop writing completely and seek out some serious help because if she does not address her problems someone is going to end up hurt.
