I came over all frothy in the park earlier when this guy walking 2 big lassie dogs - on leads- let one of them do a massive poo, 2 yards from his feet, on the grass where loads of kids play, then went to walk off.

I just got really mad and stopped and looked at him, then when he went to walk away said "Excuse me, please tell me you're not going to leave that there?"

He mumbled something about waiting for the other dog - so I stood and waited. He then mumbled that he didn't have any bags.

So I (v loudly) said "so you're just going to leave it for kids to step in? That's disgusting- you should be ashamed of yourself. "
I am Blush
There was football going on so people were looking, but I was just so grrrr about it. What an arse. I had DS with me (I was carrying him at the time) so didn't want to frighten him, but couldn't walk past and not say anything.

Pig!

Good for you, OP. Hope next time he takes a bag.

fluckered · 24/03/2013 14:37

yw most definately nbu!! arsehole.

thezebrawearspurple · 24/03/2013 14:37

Good on you!!! What he did was disgusting, hopefully the embarrassment will teach him to be more considerate next time.

BuddyButters · 24/03/2013 14:37

YWNBU. At all.

FranKatzenjammer · 24/03/2013 14:38

YWNBU. That is gross.

MintyyAeroEgg · 24/03/2013 14:38

Obviously ywnbu. I would have added "well why don't you go and ask a responsible dog owner if you could have a bag?"

Shybairns · 24/03/2013 14:38

Yes I would have done the same. Makes my blood boil.

Beamur · 24/03/2013 14:38

Flowers YANBU the fact that the twunt 'had no bags' says it all really, no intention of picking iy up. Two big dogs = probably 4 big shits a day left lying around to be trodden in. I hope he is shamed into thinking a bit more about his selfish behaviour. Well done you for calling him on it.

WileyRoadRunner · 24/03/2013 14:39

He should be ashamed.

Any resin subtle dog walker always makes sure their pockets are fully stocked with poo bags!

HeySoulSister · 24/03/2013 14:39

yabu to say 'kids' might step in it.....anyone could!! its not just kids!

NaturalBaby · 24/03/2013 14:39

YANBU. I would have donated one of my nappy sacks.

WileyRoadRunner · 24/03/2013 14:39

Meh autocorrect,

Any responsible!

BigGiantCowWithAKnockKnockTail · 24/03/2013 14:39

Good for you. I carry extra bags so I can offer them to people I see doing that Grin

YANBU. My two DSs play junior footy and some poor sod has to get the poo shovel before the game and check for dog poo on the pitch. Angry

Booyhoo · 24/03/2013 14:41

why on earth did he come out without bags? Confused

and if he did then what was that guff about waiting for the other dog? he was bullshitting and never had any intention of picking it up. Angry

good on you OP. we should feel able to remind people to pick up the shit they leave in public places.

sjupes · 24/03/2013 14:41

eeew!! god we got a dog for me late last year then found out we were expecting dc3 and poor dog had to get rehomed again but long story short - if i took olls out i always had poo bags or on the occasions i couldn't find them i took a bundle of tesco/newsagents bags with me.

i have pulled people up about leaving poop before it's disgusting.

ywdnbu!

AllOverIt · 24/03/2013 14:42

Good for you OP. I'm a dog owner and it's makes me Angry when I see other owners behaving like this.

kinkyfuckery · 24/03/2013 14:42

Dirty bastard!

bigredtractor · 24/03/2013 14:43

I just wish id had the changing bag - id have gladly handed him a nappy bag!

EllaFitzgerald · 24/03/2013 14:44

Good for you! YA most definitely not BU.

bigredtractor · 24/03/2013 14:47

Booyhoo I think he was hoping to fob me off so I'd keep on walking, but I didn't!

I know its not just kids that step in it but I was holding DS at the time, plus adults tend to watch where they're stepping more than kids. But the fact that we have to tread carefully in the park just makes me seethe.

OP posts:
scratchandsniff · 24/03/2013 14:48

I would have done the same. It makes my blood boil. Presuming his other dog crapped somewhere too. They should be made to feel like what's just come out their dogs bum.

Maggie111 · 24/03/2013 14:48

Yanbu! We have a dog and always have poo bags (well, nappy bags because they're much cheaper!) Good for you for saying something. I admit, since walking my dog I've been waiting to tell someone they've "missed" a poo and offer them a bag, but haven't seen anyone yet Shock .... Am sat up here on my high horse just waiting....

CarnivorousPanda · 24/03/2013 14:48

Good for you. Could you speak to a dog warden or ring the council as its quite clear he had no intention of cleaning the mess up -I bet he never does. Maybe someone could catch and fine him?
