Yup, it's the DM.

Post her lecture on carbs, it does amuse me to see that her kids don't actually live in a rarefied, joyless, carb-less world.

I'm sure she doesn't begrudge her children a packet of crisps once in a while?

HazeltheMcWitch · 18/03/2013 14:15

Oh, she does. She does.

She's got a new book out, about clean eating or whatever, and she's been quoted left right and centre about the evils of carbs.

YANBU!!! Chris will be in the shit later.

I hope she has the good sense to call NHS Direct - who knows what damage has been done...

cleofatra · 18/03/2013 14:18

OMG thats a fab picture

cleofatra · 18/03/2013 14:19

"That certain hunger" from no eating carbs...obviously got the better of them.

MarmaladeTwatkins · 18/03/2013 14:20

I thought she had relented and said that there is no point trying to have a perfect life and diet? Maybe not.

Anyway, they may not be crisps. They may be baked snacks made from seaweed and soya beans? Wink

EskSmith · 18/03/2013 14:22

I do think Gwynnie set herself up for this.

Am trying. (and failing) not to laugh, I agree poor Chris is in trouble ;)

HazeltheMcWitch · 18/03/2013 14:23

Did she say that about no point trying to have a perfect life?
I missed that. It does not sound like something she'd say. Not that I know her.

Is anyone good at carby snack identification? I feel I need to know for sure whether it is seaweedy or whether it's dirty.

Chris clearly sated his 'certain hunger' with M&M's.

Meh bet they turn out to be carb free gluten free flavour free special dried snacks Gwynnie covertly slipped in to an old packet...

INeverSaidThat · 18/03/2013 14:25

I don't recognise the packets so they may well be something very healthy. Confused

WileyRoadRunner · 18/03/2013 14:26

Hmmm actually are they Faith Hill's 3 daughters? It says she has 3 daughters....

HaveAGoHeroine · 18/03/2013 14:28

I bet Chris will be for the high jump later Grin

I thought recent 'I feel sisterhood is emerging' article was funny, it was about Gwyneth saying that people are just starting to like her now, whereas people didn't used to like her because was such a threat at 26 having won an Oscar. I read it and thought, no love, that's not why no one liked you.
You only have to read Goop or one of her recipe books to know why people don't warm to her.

It reminds me of the scene in BigBangTheory where Sheldon in in Texas with his mum, explaining that the others aren't his friends:

Mrs Cooper: When you were little, we sat right here at this very spot and we talked about some of the problems you had getting along with the neighbour kids.

Sheldon: That was different. They were threatened by my intelligence and too stupid to know that?s why they hated me.

Mrs Cooper: Oh baby, they knew very well why they hated you.

MarmaladeTwatkins · 18/03/2013 14:31

"She?s so perfect that it?s a problem: She confesses that ?the bane? of her existence has been her ?perfectionism? ? something she now thinks borders on a ?personality disorder? and she is working hard to undo. ?Life isn?t perfect. We are human beings, we are totally flawed and you just set yourself up for disappointment and shame if you try to be perfect. There is no point.?"

I read this quote when I was reading an article about her diet and her failings with macrobiotics. I just assumed that she'd softened a little and wasn't adverse to giving her kids Turkey twizzlers for tea every now and then. Grin

I do like Gwynnie, though. Even though she eats sawdust.

HazeltheMcWitch · 18/03/2013 14:31

I read that article too HaveaGo. And i thought of that BBT scene also!
I also thought of JLaw, who has won an OScar aged 22/23 (or thereabouts); and who people DON'T DISLIKE as she does not seem up her own arse.

Wiley - pretty sure the one next to Chris, is his daughter.

I think the younger girl is eating ...... Twiglets Shock

Pocketchange · 18/03/2013 14:33

If that really is Moses, why has he got long hair and has pink shoes on? I have a 6 year old boy. Hair aside, there aint NO WAY he would wear pink shoes.

TSSDNCOP · 18/03/2013 14:34

Adjusts deerstalker. Chris is eating Peanut M&Ms, but the blue bag doesn't look like any crisps I recognise . I therefore present M'lud the possible presence of a healthy snack.

LBsBongers · 18/03/2013 14:34

Think they are quite salty too

cleofatra · 18/03/2013 14:35

Are M&M's egg, gluten and dairy free?

MarmaladeTwatkins · 18/03/2013 14:37

I could batter a bag of peanut M&Ms now :(

Iamsparklyknickers · 18/03/2013 14:39

The crisps look like Space Raiders to me. They're baked so I personally count them as a health food.

TSSDNCOP · 18/03/2013 14:39

M&Ms surpass food restrictions. They are quite simply delicious and therefore that balances any Gwynetth food group restrictions.

Further infection of the child's hand does indeed suggest Twigets. Which lets face it are the dullest of crisp based snacks.

HaveAGoHeroine · 18/03/2013 14:39

I know, as if there had never been a successful young woman in Hollywood before her!

HazeltheMcWitch · 18/03/2013 14:40

Twiglets, hey? Interesting.
Do you know what I love - peanut butter M&M's. They were the best.
