To think some posters invent their DC

Because they seem to spend all day, every day posting on Mumsnet. They are never off the forum, popping up on every second thread, demonstrating an encyclopaedic knowledge of OPs' posting history, past threads, current threads etc etc

Who on earth gets these 'DC' out to school, and feeds them and clears up after them and supervises their homework and cooks their dinner? Do some of you have full time maids and nannies who do all that stuff while you lounge around eating chocolates and aibu-ing?

Oh lord snooping.
I am so sorry.
I don't know what to say to you but I hope you have someone there.

UnChartered · 13/03/2013 18:23

Snooping

sorry to read that too Thanks

AnyFucker · 13/03/2013 18:25

Very sorry to read that, snoop.

Snoopingforsoup · 13/03/2013 18:26

Pagwatch Don't worry, I'm being flippant as I don't really know what else to be right now.
The info and support on MN has been great and AIBU a bloody great distraction.
It's made me laugh and gasp all at the same time! I got better MC info here than from the hospital.
I'll always be grateful for this bonkers community.

freddiemisagreatshag · 13/03/2013 18:27

My two youngest are currently having WW3 in the other room. Do you think I could UN-invent them?

Oh snooping I'm so sorry I didn't see your post (I typed and then went to try to break up the battle) I am mortified and I hope you're not upset with me and I wouldn't blame you a bit if you were

Snoopingforsoup · 13/03/2013 18:29

thanks all
Sorry to bring the spirit of the thread down. We have our own threads for that, so as you were.
I was being honest, and real... I'm only here because I've had the time to be.

Snoopingforsoup · 13/03/2013 18:31

Freddie don't be daft.
Oh good lord, you can tell I'm new.

Crack on with the banter please do Blush

nenevomito · 13/03/2013 18:33

Same here snooping Thanks

FWIW, the children neglect me for the sodding Sarah Jane adventures on my laptop.

Pagwatch · 13/03/2013 18:36

Snooping - I started using mn when I was having a crappy time in RL. It is a great distraction sometimes Smile

I wish I were on in the evenings more. I tend to post during the day which I suspect is a bit more sedate than the night time. But I have to talk to dh or he gets arsy

My made up eldest boy is sitting with his made up knee embedded in my hip, reading his made up lego magazine out loud.

My made up youngest has thrown all the made up cushions from the other sofa all over the floor, so I have put my feet up on one and he is sat on my legs. I'm imagining that he's heavy.

Sugarice · 13/03/2013 18:47

Snooping sorry to read that.

SPsFanjoTheBigStickyHaribo · 13/03/2013 18:51

Sorry to read that snooping

I'm a figment of everyone's imagination. Any children that I mention are also figments of everyone's imagination. Any thing I post is everyone's imagination.

freddiemisagreatshag · 13/03/2013 18:52

D'you think if I imagine hard enough I could make myself 22 5ft8 and size 6?

Portofino · 13/03/2013 18:56

I am imagining I am Justine Mumsnet and making a killing out of the rest of you inventing your children.

haveapear · 13/03/2013 19:05

My real kids are at Brownies, like snooping I wished I'd discovered mumsnet when they were younger.

Sorry for your loss snooping :(

Snoopingforsoup · 13/03/2013 19:23

thanks for all your acknowledgements
Thanks

midastouch · 13/03/2013 19:57

DO we reallly think people make up children to post things really??

Myself DP and my DCs are real, sadly i dont have staff though! Just a blackberry for boring car and bus journeys. And a laptop for when ive finished my housework and DCs are sleeping or at nursery.

FeistyLass · 13/03/2013 20:18

My fake ds is always fully and immaculately dressed, and spotlessly clean (squints eyes so I can't see ds running round wearing only pyjama trousers and covered in random pen and paint marks).

No staff nursery just a house like a tip which gets blitzed every weekend Grin

Snooping I'm so sorry Flowers
