It was about 11:30ish and she was wearing a bright pink onesie ... tucked inside a pair of Uggs.

This also isn't even a local Morrisons, it was in a retail park not that close to a residential area, so it's not like she'd just popped in to buy some milk.

Lord knows what was in her trolley Wink

Well they are quite fashionble so my reckoning is that she spent some time choosing her outfit and matching boots!

Sirzy · 03/03/2013 18:10

I never understand why people go out in PJs surely it doesn't take long to chuck some clothes on?

SPsFanjoTheBigStickyHaribo · 03/03/2013 18:10

I saw a man in a onesie walking around in a shopping centre. I have also seen a man walking around in a penguin onesie in the afternoon

ImperialBlether · 03/03/2013 18:11

Women in onesies are one thing, but men! Do they think they look attractive in any way? Could you ever have sex with a man who wore a onesie?

ChildlikeConfusion · 03/03/2013 18:11

Nope. Me either.

I mean late-night shopping ... fine I guess. But this was midday - had she just not bothered to get dressed or decided to wear a onesie for the day??

I'd have had to take a photo of the penguin onesie, that's brilliant Smile

The only time I think it's acceptable to go out in public in a onesie is if it's for charity.

oopsadaisymaisy · 03/03/2013 18:12

I was in Costa a couple of weeks ago when a very tall couple came in with matching onsies :). Twas hilarious!

mrsjay · 03/03/2013 18:13

I am resigned to the fact that grown women will be wearing onsies OUTSIDe till at least May sigh Grin I have got used to it

Lucyellensmum95 · 03/03/2013 18:14

But mrsjay - how do you think i felt when i saw a man walking around in ASDAwith one on, red fluffy thing with snowflakes on!! He was buying beer FFS

Branleuse · 03/03/2013 18:15

ahhh now you should have taken a picture!!

AKissIsNotAContract · 03/03/2013 18:15

Not all onesies are PJs though. If she's in a Primark onesie, then yes she is wearing PJs. Onesies like this are designed to be outerwear.

How does it differ from a jumpsuit?

SPsFanjoTheBigStickyHaribo · 03/03/2013 18:16

I love my onesie but I will never ever go outside in it!

Naoko · 03/03/2013 18:16

DP has heard me rant about how ridiculous I think people who shop in onesies and pyjamas are. I usually assume he's not actually listening, but apparently he's been paying attention because earlier in Tesco he said 'oh look Naoko, there's one of those people in onesies who annoy you so much'. Unfortunately in this case the offender looked no older than three, meaning he can probably get away with it, and no, DP, that wasn't what I meant by 'strange people who go to Tesco in their pyjamas'.... :o

PeneloPeePitstop · 03/03/2013 18:17

I've been in my onesie all day (was in hospital with DD most of last night so slobbing). If I had to go out, even for a pint of milk, I'd get dressed or my tits would drag the ground

ChildlikeConfusion · 03/03/2013 18:17

I think there's a website for people to post photos of bad parking.

I think we should start a similar website and post photos of the random people we all see wearing onesies Grin

I wouldn't have looked twice, it's so common now. Same goes for curlers etc.

mrsjay · 03/03/2013 18:19

I would have laughed and not in an aww cute way

mrsjay · 03/03/2013 18:20

Isnt curlers a Liverpool thing?

WhatsTheBuzz · 03/03/2013 18:20

just as well they probably don't give a shit Smile

racingheart · 03/03/2013 18:21

A family came in and sat down for dinner at Nandos near us the other day. All the DC were in PJs and slippers and dressing gowns. I thought it was very cute. But eccentric but who cares, really?

racingheart · 03/03/2013 18:21

Bit not but eccentric

harrietlichman · 03/03/2013 18:21

Anyone who wears a onesie outside is an idiot. YANBU.

KatieMiddleton · 03/03/2013 18:21

I wouldn't have judge. But I would have done a much better job than you op if studying the species.

  1. Track subject round supermarket
  2. Note contents of basket/trolley
  3. Post it on MN

Obviously.
