AIBU?

to think I witnessed a woman in Morrisons today that the majority of you would judge?

It was about 11:30ish and she was wearing a bright pink onesie ... tucked inside a pair of Uggs.

This also isn't even a local Morrisons, it was in a retail park not that close to a residential area, so it's not like she'd just popped in to buy some milk.

Lord knows what was in her trolley Wink

I actually went to work in my onesie once. It was world book day and we were doing bedtime stories, so I had an excuse. I forgot I was wearing it and called at Tesco on the way home. I wondered why I was getting Confused looks- then I looked down.
Normally I would always get dressed. Honest Wink

There has to be more actual onesie owners on MN then people will claim. I bet you all secretly have one Grin

I have 2 and DP has one, no secrecy here.

I do have one, it was initially bought for my friend but gave her a massive camel toe so I pinched it! I wore it for lazing around in the winter (indoors might I add!) the closest I ever came to venturing out was legging it to the car at night for something. The neighbours must have been startled by the giant zebra running wild!

I saw a girl in Tesco a few weeks ago. She had Primark animal print PJs on, full make up and her hair up (by hair up I mean that she had taken the time to put it into a style). Bonkers!

I would love a onesie, btw. They look so cosy!

I must say I would draw the line at a man in a onesie inside or outside. I didn't think men wore onsies. the things you learn on MN. Grin

DH saw someone wearing a onesie in Sainsburys yesterday Shock.
He couldn't believe it, and we are a family of onesie fans.

I look hideous in mine, but disappointingly DH (whose onesie I bought as a joke) looks great in his! We would never leave the house in them though - in fact I struggle to leave the bedroom in mine, so bad is the shame Grin!

imperialblether HOW wuold you have sex with a man wearing a onesie?

Yes sorry but I'd probably judge a bit but I used to go to Sainsburys in pyjamas and dressing gown when I was a student. In my defence our halls of residence were immediately across the street and we were there and back in less than 5 minutes so it was quite common to see students in pyjamas buying breakfast ingredients

Boo I took my onesie to a sleepover over at potential fellas. I had to make sure he could accept me and the onesie as a package Grin

I love mine. I wasn't sure about them til I got my fluffy me to you one for Christmas off my mum.

I saw a middle-aged man marching up High St Ken a few weeks ago in pyjamas, dressing gown and slippers at 9.30am. He wasn't being all trendy (it's near the art school), didn't look eccentric, or like he was escaping from somewhere. Maybe its a new trend?

I loved my onesie until I bent down and ripped the crotch Blush. I never wore it outside though. DH bought me a slanket to go with it - I was torn between being offended and being delighted Grin

I don't even notice onesie/PJ wearers in Morrisons anymore as it's such a common occurrence round here.

Ah you never know

Our local BP has their staff wear pj's on Christmas day; lots of Onesies this year.

My daughter's old nursery did same on the last day before Xmas

Some work places do it for Charity - if you were picking up some groceries on the way in or the way back, it might be an explanation.

That said, the Pj's thing is weird. I once went to the chemist in lounge pants, uggs, and a long cardi, pregnant, with tonsilitis, and I couldn't have given a shiny I'm afraid!!!

Urgh. I saw twin bleached blonde girls (19-22ish) in matching PJ's and Uggs walking to the supermarket today. I guess they thought they were cool or summit.

I wouldn't judge. I'd think 'oh, there's someone doing that fashion for wearing a onesie outside thing'.

Report
EnjoyResponsibly · 03/03/2013 19:36

Oh yes. i would have judged. I would have judged like a righteous bastard.

But then there'd probably be an AIBU asking " Am I Being Unreasonable to have looked like Shock to see a woman in Morrisons wearing an enormous pair of knickers pulled up so high she had them knotted above her head?"
