To think it is ridiculous that a woman with 11 kids is getting a £400,000 house for nowt

Especially when most working people couldn't never afford to live somewhere costing that much?

No, me neither. Does Auntmaud realise that our hideous teen pregnancy rate includes pregnancies that are terminated; which is about 50% of them for teenagers.

Mm. Being raped at 12 is a really good basis for thoughtful well balanced adult hood. Being set up by the papers always makes you look good too.

'we' what do you give it to her personally - you pay tax - that pays for many many things - unless you have your kids in private school and gave birth on Bupa I doubt you pay enough tax to cover her money as well Grin

And there is a middle ground. Cap the council houses and the sizes. 2-3 children and you will get a suitable house and CB. Anything more and you are encouraging breeding to gain more benefit which is exactly what this women has done.

So - just because the mum is an entitled freeloading idiot her kids should have a big house because its not their fault?! No no no - I wouldn't be surprised if they grow up with the same entitled attitude as their mother.

Totally disgusting that she is getting this house. Welfare should not be there for people to sit on their arse and expect. I'm surprised at how many people think this is ok, maybe they are the freeloading type too though which is why...

Many many of use have made misakes in life - whether that be unwise choices in men or having things happen to us. We get over them, we dont go on to have 10 children and have a sense of entitlement that will sadly be passed down to her numerous kids!

unless you KNOW her maisie you can say that - you don't know the circumstances of each of her conceptions and births - you are making unfounded assumptions

anyway so if he works they are getting in work benefits - paying taxes and providing for their own horse no? so what is the problem?

I have said it on mn before and been shouted down as a benefit basher or liar-there are LOADS of people like this woman in my family! They have numerous kids,grandkids-all of whom have never worked. They live in nicer houses and have more disposable income than I do

why don't you give up work since it's such a great way of life?

So he works, they claim tax credits as a couple yes? how many here work and claim tax credits? she is no different from you all in that position then ?

Seeker - if there is no link, how many working families do you know with 11 children (and livestock). I know a couple of people with 5 children - hard, very hard workers and high earners. The rest of us, 1,2, possibly 3 children at a stretch. I see something of a link?
