speak to me of COUGHING

Anyone else got/had this?

On Dec 18th (I know this as it was the meet-up!) I had a razor blade throat and runny nose, this cold and (mild) cough lasted three weeks. One day off when I thought oh good I'm better, then last weekend terrible boilings and freezings and now the COUGH FROM HELL, dry and going on all day and all night. Ribs painful.

Anyone?

I drank that when I was pregnant for morning sickness! Grin

The upside of this cough is I have discovered my pelvic floor muscles are in superb shape and haven't peed myself once while coughing farting on the other hand is a different story

Oh my god I've got this it's horrible ! Sooo sore! I've got the razor throat at the same time so when coughing I'm nearly crying from the pain . Unfortunately dh has now come home ill too so there goes my one and only peace and quiet time with ds at the childminders ... Hmmm not amused !

Am taking diclofenac and paracetemol codeine hope this is ok but I like the sound of this codeine linctus stuff

I have it, too. Poor Dd2 keeps getting woken up by one or other of us coughing.

How was everyone's night?

I had a crap night, kept waking up and my chest was rattling - going to go back to bed for a bit in a minute.

I mentioned that I had the whooping cough vaccine when I was a baby upthread, mum reminded me yesterday that is WASN'T the WC vaccine I had had but the SMALL POX (not in the UK) but I did have WC when I was 5. Can you get it again once you have had it?

I had a massive wheezing, coughing fit in the middle of the night, that took me about ten minutes to get under control :(.

It might have been because I had a vacuum cleaner problem earlier in the evening (discovered the bag had been knocked shut somehow and there was loads of dust and dirt in the vacuum cleaner itself yuck!) and I'm allergic to dust, so that could have triggered it.
