There are lols and huns creeping in.

And some of you aren't fucking swearing enough!

"no one has conversations on here anymore yet

people spend all their time moaning about mn".

Waiting for you to start some interesting conversations then discorabbit

IamtheZombie · 19/01/2013 01:06

But, if we have conversations, we're accused of being cliquey.

theodorakisses · 19/01/2013 06:16

Mainly it is full of posters trying to ban people from owning certain cars, eating crisps and pe lessons. if you have idiotic posters you get idiotic language. Where have all the normal bastards gone?

I've sworn once and meant it. Was colloquial and I could have just used the word stupid but didn't really apply the depth of stupidity required on that instance. Someone (or more who knows or cares) reported it. I get a note off hq. I've seen c word used like water on here! My word was no where in that league.

Rules apply where it suits seems to me. Or if ur a favourite. The op post was particularly irritating. Do people switch brains off before asking a question? Have to wonder sometimes.....

InLoveWithDavidTennant · 19/01/2013 09:39

i sometimes lol, because i do laugh out loud when reading something.

i hate text speak. just why?

i dont generally swear in real life so i dont generally do it here, but will write blooming (and thats cause i do say that in rl). ill only swear if there is a topic that makes me angry, or people are being so unbelievably stupid!

however... thats my way and i dont give a fuck what any of you think about it Grin

MardyBraWouldDoEddieRedmayne · 19/01/2013 09:49

Ah but but I don't think anyone's ever accused scottishmummy of being twee LaQ.

OP posts:
theodorakisses · 19/01/2013 09:53

I liked her, she was fun.

And posted in a bullet point style.
Not sure why.

MardyBraWouldDoEddieRedmayne · 19/01/2013 10:04

Why past tense, theodora?

OP posts:
theodorakisses · 19/01/2013 10:16

I haven't encountered her for a while.

FellatioNels0n · 19/01/2013 10:18

If you do an advanced search for lol from 10/1/13 to date it returns a really scary number of posts.

Do you know what I am really, really tired of? I'm tired of all the cunting. Have we not all cunted enough now? It is rarely used in a way that has any real gravitas on here. It seems to be used mainly in the same manner in which a 10 year old boy might run into a room, fart near his sister's face and run out again. The only person who finds it hysterically entertaining is him.

scottishmummy · 19/01/2013 10:24

if you must c&p that you're getting flak lequeen, quote right quote
i was not addressing you in the quote you cited
hth

MardyBraWouldDoEddieRedmayne · 19/01/2013 10:33

Actually, there are way fewer "huns" if you do the same search for them Fellatio , and a lot of them are ironic, in this thread, or just one or two posters. Maybe I'm being über sensitive to hunning.

OP posts:
mrsjay · 19/01/2013 10:35

mardy maybe you had accidently signed into another forum and had all the huns thrown at you Grin

JustAHolyFool · 19/01/2013 10:39

Scottish vs LaQueen.

It's the fight I've always dreamed of, and I'm not sure LaQueen will come out with her (whitened, straightened) teeth intact.

Ding ding.

MardyBraWouldDoEddieRedmayne · 19/01/2013 10:42

mrsjay. I'm still resentful that I found the other forum first, found it totally bland, and it put me off parenting websites for years. I probably missed out on a good five years of MNing because of fucking NMs. I could have been a legend...I could have been there for some of the classics...I could have been a contender...hell, I could have been a moldie...

OP posts:
MardyBraWouldDoEddieRedmayne · 19/01/2013 10:45

Who's taking bets JustA?

OP posts:
mrsjay · 19/01/2013 10:47

I wasted to much time on Nms although i never ever EVER hunned Grin

MardyBraWouldDoEddieRedmayne · 19/01/2013 10:50

I didn't even waste time there mrsjay. I just nosed around a couple of times and decided it was full of people like one of my SILs and never gave it a second thought until I found MN.

OP posts:
wewereherefirst · 19/01/2013 10:52

I had NM'd for a long long time. I then realised my eyesight was being destroyed by the glittery signatures and the overbearing amount of shit and text speak which made whole threads unintelligible to me was ripping my heart out and I spent most of the time facepalming at the stupidity of the whole site. I do feel I missed out on MN for a long time.

mrsjay · 19/01/2013 10:55

here is much more varied in conversation and laughs I felt a bit lost on Nms because my DDs are older and I had done all my baby and toddler years way before the internet, so chat was a bit limited,

indeed, a cracking summation
and I wouldn't have it another other way.the joy of mn is the differences
the sheer you think what, guessing about someone else based on words on a screen
