To Be Annoyed about this (Poss SN) Childs Behaviour

Ok so we went to The Panto last night which wasn't a cheap night out with the tickets costing £100 + for 4 of us.

We were sat 4 seats in with a family of 4 occupying the end 4.

The Father of other the family preceded to lift his DS aged about 10/11 over the seats (spare) to the row in front so he could get a better view and was now sat directly in front of my DP.

This child then spent the entire performance jumping up and down on the seat in front, shouting loudly for sweets, flapping arms, banding his head with his shoes which he'd taken off and generally distracting everyone around him. To give the father credit he did repeatedly tell the child to shut up /sit down and threaten him etc.

Although My experience of ASD is quite limited, I'm assuming the boy was on the Autistic spectrum and although the panto is a family performance and I expect to be disturbed by kids needing a wee, rustling sweets etc AIBU to be pissed off with our evening be ruined especially seeing the boy could have been seated on the end of the aisle where he would have disturbed others less ?

Oh and Margey your dictionary's definition of antisocial must be different to mine. Mine doesn't read "Antisocial: being disabled".

threesocksfullofchocs · 29/12/2012 22:37

Glitter but the bigots cannot be sure theirs arn't defective.......yet

Sunnywithshowers · 29/12/2012 22:37

^^ What Avon said.

Glitterknickaz · 29/12/2012 22:38

I'm not actually swearing cos I'm angry by the way, I'm that bitter and twisted as a result of these lowlife fuckheads that it just sails on over me.

I do get angry on behalf of those new to having a child with a SN Dx who might actually be taking what these cunts have to say to heart though, and I'll always fight for my kids.

But these fuckers will not impact upon me any more.

threesocksfullofchocs · 29/12/2012 22:40

Glitter you are not wrong, I can't imagine how it must be for a parent with a newly dx'd child to come on here.......mumsnet.......and see the vileness

Glitterknickaz · 29/12/2012 22:40

Very true, three socks... They could get hit by a bus tomorrow too

Smile
blueemerald · 29/12/2012 22:40

I said I was leaving but these things always drag you back in....

Please stop calling anyone who disagrees with you a cunt. It's really horrible and weakens your argument to bystanders (there will be plenty reading and not posting). You may say you don't care about 'converting' bystanders, but then why post at all?

Glitterknickaz · 29/12/2012 22:41

To defend my children. Or is that an alien concept?

AmberLeaf · 29/12/2012 22:42

Yeah threesocks, as hard as it is, im glad this thread hasnt been deleted either for the same reasons as you.

Margerysimpson, you couldnt be more offensive if your tried.

threesocksfullofchocs · 29/12/2012 22:43

ok we will stop calling people Cunts....
when they stop being bigots

dementedma · 29/12/2012 22:43

Would that make you happy glitter
You are very free with your bigot insults aren't you? Is anyone who disagrees with you automatically a bigot and a cunt?

Oh yeah, like if we don't say bad words people will be all understanding?

Glitterknickaz · 29/12/2012 22:45

Nope, only those who are openly disablist are bigots.

And some may percieve bigots to be cunts.

isn't it funny how bigots
get all offended when called bigots.
they complain about swearing.
yet happily post their bigoted shit

whathasthecatdonenow · 29/12/2012 22:46

I hid this yesterday, so so sad to see that people are still being so vile about children.

dementedma anyone who thinks that children with disabilities should be hidden away if their behaviour inconveniences anyone else is a bigot in my opinion. And to be honest, a whole lot worse.

AmberLeaf · 29/12/2012 22:46

STANDING OVATION IN FACT

dementedma · 29/12/2012 22:46

not necessarily amber but they might be more inclined to think you have a reasoned argument to put across and be more prepared to engage and understand......

Glitterknickaz · 29/12/2012 22:46

Yet if you implied their kid was somehow inferior or bothersome because of something they were born with they'd be outraged.

come on we know the ones being called a cunt will reply well I tell it like it is becauae they do not want to be understanding they want to live in their selfish bubble and I suspect some are rather proud to be called a cunt it shows they are not going to bow down and agree with others

TandB · 29/12/2012 22:48

And for my encore I might should "Cunt" a bit.

Alisvolatpropiis · 29/12/2012 22:48

demented

Why do parents of children with disabilities have to put across a reasoned argument as to why people should have a bit of compassion and accept the children for who they are.

Really? Parents should have to persuade people to be decent human beings?

Wow.
