Aspiemum...if that is true I been old for quite some time!

CalamityKate · 28/12/2012 02:14

I loved Some Kind of Wonderful. Eric Stoltz was lovely in that. And when he's practising kissing with Watts....

Verycold · 28/12/2012 07:56

Yes that was a lovely one

Lol at johnnycakes.

I agree with you OP, I would be furious if my dd started hanging around with a strangely mid-30s looking initerant hotel worker chancer when on holiday.

Also The Lost Boys. The bit where Corey Haim says to Jason Patric something like 'omg you're a vampire, mum's gonna KILL you'. I am that mum.

I used to think that the big brother in Goonies was a MEANIE when I was young, and now I just fancy the arse off him. So perhaps I have not matured that much.

YANBU last night DH and I were watching Fiddler on the Roof and discussing whether Tevye and Golde should have done more to stop 17 year old Hodel leaving for Siberia to marry Perchik.

Sparklingbrook · 28/12/2012 08:47

Schnapps I went to bed sorry. Grin I so wanted to be Debbie in that film, she even looked good in dungarees. Smile

Mrsrudolphduvall · 28/12/2012 08:51

I never liked PS...his eyes are too narrow.

HazleNutt · 28/12/2012 08:57

YANBU. PS was horrible, whiney and precious. Only danced wit Baby to piss off her dad.

Sparklingbrook · 28/12/2012 09:06

Has everyone seen the ? Blimey.

kitsmummy · 28/12/2012 09:17

Hazlenutt, you are so out of order Xmas Angry, he did not dance with her to piss off her dad, he danced with her to show everyone how amazing she was - both on the dancefloor and as a person. He luffed her

Sparklingbrook · 28/12/2012 09:18

Let's not get cross on the Dirty Dancing thread. Sad

FreddieMercuryforQueen · 28/12/2012 09:24

Dirty Dancing is my Dad's favourite film. He turned 60 in September.

kitsmummy · 28/12/2012 09:24
Grin
Sparklingbrook · 28/12/2012 09:25

Ooh he might like the deleted scene then Freddie. But don't watch it with him. Wink

BatmanLovesSparklyBaubles · 28/12/2012 09:25

Blimey, sparkling, that's a bit steamy!

Sparklingbrook · 28/12/2012 09:26

Isn't it just Batman? She is very bendy. Envy

chosenone · 28/12/2012 09:28

Woah !!! Never seen deleted scene before, I would've been blushing my head off if they'd left that in !!

BatmanLovesSparklyBaubles · 28/12/2012 09:28

And he can hold her for aaaaaages. If my DH tried that, he'd end up in hospital with a broken back Sad

Latara · 28/12/2012 09:28

In DD Baby was meant to be 15...

Sparklingbrook · 28/12/2012 09:29

I just hope Baby's Dad hasn't seen the deleted scene. Wink

Latara · 28/12/2012 09:29

I would have dated PS at that age though & my Mum would have killed him (or run off with him).

JakeBullet · 28/12/2012 09:30

Wow! The deleted scene is a bit unrealistic steamy isn't it?

And I howled with laughter at the Family Guy one further back.....hilarious.

But yes....she's meant to be 15 and as a sensible 40 something I'd be shrieking with horror and calling the police.

kitsmummy · 28/12/2012 09:32

I'm at work and i can't see the deleted scene.....this is killing me!!!

Sparklingbrook · 28/12/2012 09:33

kits it isn't suitable viewing for work anyway. Grin

Binkyridesagain · 28/12/2012 09:35

This has to be the best Xmas ever. I got to watch and record Say Anything, I've fallen in love with John Cusack again. Had myself a bit of Ewan macgregor and today was the cherry on the bakewell, DD deleted scene. Thanks sparkling, my year has ended on a very very happy note.
