I so am getting old...

Oh yeah! Although as a horny teen, I was always put off by the fact that Patrick Swayze reminded me of my Stepdad! Thankfully, nowadays, Stepdad had aged and Johnny hasnt! Problem solved! PS was drop dead gorgeous!

Verycold · 27/12/2012 23:08

I once read a review which said PS is has two facial expressions - surprised and very surprised. Very true, especially if you watch him in Ghost Grin

Johnnycakes are corn pancakes.

Or Patrick Swayzes butt cheeks.

Depending on your breakfast preference.

I'm the same with these Twighlight films. Stop snogging in a bloody meadow and go and do yer homework.

Sparklingbrook · 27/12/2012 23:11

DH remarked that PS 'walked as if he had got something shoved up his bum' in DD. That was his only comment. Confused

Binfullofgibletsonthe26th · 27/12/2012 23:12

Obviously a slice of bacon and some maple syrup packed up the cleft of his Johnnycakes! Xmas Grin

Roasties · 27/12/2012 23:13

Pretty in Pink is the best

Binfullofgibletsonthe26th · 27/12/2012 23:15

Twilight films even!

In reverse I find the mother of Kevin from Home Alone an absolute useless nightmare, and also dislike the judgeypants mum in Uncle Buck.

Sparklingbrook · 27/12/2012 23:15

Duckie is my fave character in that Roasties but Andrew McCarthy better in St Elmo's Fire. Smile

I trump them all with-

About Last Night.

My absolute favourite ever.

MichelleRooJnr · 27/12/2012 23:21

I just decided for definite, final, absolutes that PS in DD is the hawtest movie man EVER.
I always had my suspicions, but tonight's 600th(ish) time watching it confirmed it.
And it is now indisputable
Even hotter than John Malkovich in anything.
And that is saying something.
(And Baby's Dad is a grumpy old fart)

AlexReidsLonelyThisChristmas · 27/12/2012 23:22

Mannequin for me, I still get all tense when she's dangling over the wood chipper machine, I've only seen it 4034 times in my lifetime, so know the ending by now. Xmas Grin

MichelleRooJnr · 27/12/2012 23:23

Binfullofgiblets - your post made me think of Kevin yum Bacon.
Packed up the cleft of PS's Johnnycakes Hmm

Sparklingbrook · 27/12/2012 23:25

No Michelle, because that would be Rob Lowe I am afraid. Sorry.

CatPussRoastingOnAnOpenFire · 27/12/2012 23:26

I'm going to make DD13 sit through DD tomorrow.
I always wanted Baby's dad for my own. He is rather lovely in a stuffy kind of way!

Sparklingbrook · 27/12/2012 23:27

Oooh Kevin Bacon. Now he can look at my Everything Everywhere any time he likes....

sashh · 27/12/2012 23:28

Wtf is a johnnycake?

A Jamaicen style dumpling.

MichelleRooJnr · 27/12/2012 23:28

ah ok sparklingbrook.
I will give you Rob Lowe as a very close second (or a tie if he's topless and sweaty).
And poor wee River Pheonix was heading the way of the mature buff too Sad

SrirachaGirl · 27/12/2012 23:35

I'm old but still swoon over Patrick Swayze. He is just divine in Dirty Dancing .

DrRanj · 27/12/2012 23:38

Ah yes, don't they refer to johnnycakes in brown girl in the ring?

Binfullofgibletsonthe26th · 27/12/2012 23:45

Mmmmm Jamaican takeaway.

Mmmmm patties, I blardy miss patties.

DrRanj · 27/12/2012 23:51

Smeggnog · 27/12/2012 23:56

I've never been able to watch Dirty Dancing again, since I saw the 'alternate ending'. So true... Grin

Tigerbomb · 28/12/2012 00:48

I've never seen Dirty Dancing - is it really that good?
