to feel I haven't really "made it" on mumsnet as I've not been mentioned in the talk round-up email yet ?

(Goes off to sulk).

I want to be famous.

Well, in the mumsnet talk round up anyhow.

I don't even read it. I am That Cool.

Plus, I'm never going to be on it

isawginhagnickingsantasbooze · 21/12/2012 22:19

I do think you are luffly tho Aitch

isawginhagnickingsantasbooze · 21/12/2012 22:20
Grin
fatcuntroller · 21/12/2012 22:21

I've been quoted in it twice under different names (regular name changer) i'm so proud

AitchTwoOhOneTwo · 21/12/2012 22:22

i'm actually SURE you've been in it, ginhag. Grin honestly, most of you eejits have been, you just don't read it avidly enough.

AnyFuckerForAMincePie · 21/12/2012 22:22

No favouritism towards the "well wishers" then?

oh no, no way, that wouldn't be right

sweary nicknames don't help

TheRealSanityClause · 21/12/2012 22:23

I got mentiond very earlyn. ANd got hundreds of replies to my first post. Now, rarely get a mentioned. #bustedflush

AitchTwoOhOneTwo · 21/12/2012 22:24

(that was kind of the joke i was making, anyfucker).

TwoSillyHatsWithBellsOn · 21/12/2012 22:26

I'll probably namechange again before the next roundup, so having my name noted as a well wisher won't do me any good. Still think Aitch does a fab job though. Grin

marriedandwreathedinholly · 21/12/2012 22:26

I never have time to read it but doubt I have.

MaryChristmaZEverybody · 21/12/2012 22:26

I never have either.

Or at least, if I have no-one has ever told me.

I suspect it's because I am boring Xmas Grin. Or, I prefer to think that the roundup can't quote from the more contentious threads.

Surely not Aitch. I simply cannot believe I have ever said anything coherent impressive enough.

I've been in it twice!

Although I really felt like I made it when Hugh grant answered my question on the webchat!!

isawginhagnickingsantasbooze · 21/12/2012 22:29

AF could probably have her very own round up feature

BluelightsAndSirens · 21/12/2012 22:30

I've been in it once and only because I pointed Aitch towards the thread on another thread.

I think I suggest ripping the piss out of people who have auto correct fails or something equally as unfunny and Aitch didn't reply back I was pissed at the time

3b1g · 21/12/2012 22:32

Regarding the speculation that one needs to be a "name" in order to be rounded up: some people change their name as often as a newborn's nappy - are they doing this in order to avoid being corralled?

BertieBotts · 21/12/2012 22:37

I've been on it once, I think.

I'm also in one of the mumsnet articles! Something about what you want in a partner, IIRC.

BertieBotts · 21/12/2012 22:40

I suspect AF is not on it because of the name...? Other than that I could have sworn I've seen a comment of hers on there before.

I often see a mixture of names I recognise and those I don't so I don't think it's necessarily "big" names, although perhaps the "big" names are big/well-known for the same reason they tend to appear on the talk round-up - that being that they are funny, say memorable things and post a lot.

AitchTwoOhOneTwo · 21/12/2012 22:40

my favourite quote so far i think has been 'i never have time to read it but i doubt i have'. Shock Grin talk about heads you win, tails you lose.

btw i DID answer that thing about the text speak, i always answer PMs that people send. it just didn't translate into a roundup thread for one reason and another. (actually iirc cos while there were some funny bits, other bits were pretty snidey, which is not the sort of thing that plays that well in an email ie if you're not involved).

Ever been on it - cross.
