to feel I haven't really "made it" on mumsnet as I've not been mentioned in the talk round-up email yet ?

(Goes off to sulk).

I want to be famous.

Well, in the mumsnet talk round up anyhow.

I have never bothered to read them so I didn't know people were mentioned.

ConfusedPixieThinksSheIsAnElf · 21/12/2012 21:44

I have no clue what it is?!

exoticfruits · 21/12/2012 21:44

You get a regular email-I just delete them.

WorraLorraTurkey · 21/12/2012 21:46

I keep forgetting to read it on here and I never use the email address I log in with.

Perhaps I'll make it my NY's resolution Xmas Grin

FrankincenseWippery · 21/12/2012 21:47

I've got recipe of the week this week. Does this make me almost there?

apostrophethesnowman · 21/12/2012 21:48

I've never read the e-mails. Have no idea what it's about!

Badvocsanta · 21/12/2012 21:48

Meglet you are ace.

MarcelineTheVampireQueen · 21/12/2012 21:50

I have never been on it either Xmas Sad

It is clearly a conspiracy. I am planning to go to the papers on this one. I will have my picture taken with a print out of the round up. I have been practicing my sad face. That'll learn 'em....

UnacceptableAmountOfSherry · 21/12/2012 21:50

There are regular E-mails??

Is this something you are given the opportunity to opt-out of?

Badvocsanta · 21/12/2012 21:50

I think I was on it once under my last nn....

EmpressOfTheNorthPole · 21/12/2012 21:51

I've been on three times Xmas Grin

One was for leading a zombie attack on HQ & then seeking advice about how to clean it off the carpets, one was about my possibly magic toilet and the other was for directing Mumsnet: the Musical.

If you click on the Talk link at the top it appears in the purple menu.

SHoHoHodan · 21/12/2012 21:52

I've never made it in either and I've been here for about eleventy million years. And I always say really witty and intelligent stuff, honest.

'Snot fair.

exoticfruits · 21/12/2012 21:52

Is this something you are given the opportunity to opt-out of?

If it is I missed it.

GoldQuintessenceAndMyhrr · 21/12/2012 21:53

It is a very small select circle (or quiche) who get mentioned.

I have just worked out that you can go to 'talk round up' along the top of the page.

thixotropic · 21/12/2012 21:56

I got on it, but only in the form of a complete pasting from aitch for not being on mumsnet enough

Confused as to how cool that is

EmpressOfTheNorthPole · 21/12/2012 21:56

I don't know, Gold. The zombie carpets thread was one of my first ones, I'd lurked under different names before that but not posted much. Although to be fair it was off the back of Chaos's toaster thread which was pretty massive.

Hint: Links to pics of Rob Lowe may help.... disclaimer: I do not write the round-up

Xmas Grin
peachypips · 21/12/2012 21:58

I was on 'swears by' once commenting on nice yellow clarks shoes!

MikeLitorisHasChristmasLights · 21/12/2012 21:58

So you all actually read it?

If I hadnt commented bitched on a thread saying I had never been mentioned I would never have known.

And I am certainly not part of a select quiche of posters quint

I always forget to read it, when I do I'm totally underwhelmed.
It always misses the posters that had me genuinely laughing.
I think I don't share the same sense of humour as the writer.
