To be fed up with jealous people who seem to hate anyone who has more money than them?

I seem to epitomise what some people hate - I live in a gated estate, drive a 4x4, am a SAHM and send my children to private school. Why does this mean that some people think this gives them a right to be rude to me or about the choices my family make? I would never look down on anyone who doesn't have or do what I do, so why is it ok to do it the other way round? I am so fed up with it! And you know the ones I really can't stand? Champagne socialists who think they are all left-wing with socialist ideals but are really just like me!

No, come on. Someone explain to me why someone can say to me that they think it's unethical to send my children to private school but I wouldn't be allowed to say that I think it's selfish to live in a massive house and drive your children to the local comp everyday in a 4x4 rather than pay the school fees.

You see I'm not gloating - you are just jealous you don't have it. I haven't taken your money away so why does it bother you that I have and you don't?

Maybe it's not what you have that makes people dislike you OP but your need to point it out.

In answer to your question, I would see a car and a house as an essential but private education over rated and not needed.

Do you know what, I have 3 DCs, I live in a rented home (not a house or a gated estate, a HOME) my DCs go to the local pre school and primary. I'm a SAHM as I'm on ML at the moment.

DH is self employed, he works his fingers to the bone to provide for us, we drive a 10 year old car and a 27 year old van, we also run a motorbike and a 26 year old car, we don't have two spare pennies to rub together, but I'd happily place a bet that I'm more happy and fulfilled than you are.

Otherwise why would you be boasting posting about jealousy?

i really don't give a a damn about money, expensive houses or private education heck i really don't want holidays abroad

what matter to me is spending time with my little family, and i bet with your husband working all the time and your children in a private school i bet you don't get as much time as me with DC and DH.
