I think I'm definitely an outsider on MN, my kids arent gifted, we aren't rich, dammit we both have the work, full time! we don't live in a castle, shopat waitrose and certainly don't eat this good ham that y'all talk about Grin

Maybe I just go back under my rock?

LittleAbruzzenBear · 26/11/2012 06:56

I think we all need to open some bottles of Blossom Hill (preferably pinot) and rejoice in our differences!

MadameOneSword · 26/11/2012 07:09

Morning all...passes round the coco pops...UHT milk anyone? Wink

We buy packet ham. Sometimes deli ham. I really like Asda and wish they would open one near us. IneedBrandy said she drank £4.99 a bottle Rose, well I can beat that! I have tried many wines, some quite expensive. And my FAVOURITE is Sainsbury's 2 for £5 = £2.50 per bottle. Ha ha. I'm sure it its total crud as far as wines go, but i just don't care.
Never bought from Boden.
I am just an odd-bod. I think I knew this at about 14/15. I don't fit in anywhere. Am even resigned to that now. Sad

MadameOneSword · 26/11/2012 07:25

Can I join. I live in a counicl flat above shops. My dd2 lives with her dad ( long story) I love primark and want a onise. when I shop at the co-op I dont wear my pjs but have been known to wear slippers.(its100 steps away from flat) everything in lounge is 2nd hand apart from sofa which gets paid off in Jan. We drink 2:50 pound wine. I eat the cheapest ham. And will have a macds breakfast today as having a big blood test at 8:30am and had to fast since 8pm

Oblomov · 26/11/2012 07:36

I've got an even better one.
I buy the Mail on Sunday Shock

I LUUURVE it. Its the 'You' magazine I like. It has all the fashion, (to which I am clueless, but it lays it out on 2 oages, like an idiots guide for what you need to look out for = suits me perfectly), so that I now know that chocolate and plums are THE colour at the moment. It also has lots of cookery stuff. And i get to read Liz Jones , whom I love to despise.

I do not buy any other paaer. But The Mail, is the Cardinal MN sin of all, I do beleive.

starsandunicorns · 26/11/2012 07:37

And I have six tats and bite my nails

Convert · 26/11/2012 07:37

It was quite therapeutic getting all that out!
Cheers Grin

InNeedOfBrandy · 26/11/2012 07:38

^^the mail Shock you don't belong on this thread, MN love the mail look at all the links!

starsandunicorns · 26/11/2012 07:41

Covert my dd2 when younger shes 15 now loved pink and barbie !!

TheSkiingGardener · 26/11/2012 07:49

As far as I've been able to tell, the sole binding factor between all MNers is the fact that they write in proper English on t'internet.

So you all fit in perfectly!

KidderminsterKate · 26/11/2012 07:52

loving this thread!

I have 5 DC's and am................a lone parent
According to Mn my children all have either 'chavvy' 'try hard' or 'ridiculous names that would mean they won't be able to be a high court judge'
I live in a scruffy house where everything is falling apart
My poshest furniture is from Next, the rest is Ikea and I have the following: canvas prints, leather sofas, oak furniture, matching cushions and curtains, patterned bedding from Next, wooden blinds, a conservatory, laminate floors, matching crockery, coloured wine glasses and a chavvy dog.............all of which I've heard have been a no no on MN.
My 5th DC was conceived after I had separated from my ex
I like clothes from Next or Per Una (sometimes)
I like ugg boots and crocs
I go on caravan holidays
I shop at Aldi
I wear makeup from No7
I claim CTC
I really want a pandora bracelet
My kids have a packet of crisps and a choc bar every day in their lunchboxes
I let them watch unlimited TV

so really am probably MNs worst night mare

MadameOneSword · 26/11/2012 07:55

I'm waiting for someone to kill the thread by putting so
Something like 'I kill puppies'

starsandunicorns · 26/11/2012 07:58

Kidderminster your house sounds fab :) I only got matching plates last year from freecycle !

Convert · 26/11/2012 08:03

I have a feature wall upon which my flat screen tv is mounted and we have the full sky package.
My 4 year old can work the Xbox.

I am actually quite chavy but I am intelligent so dont really fit! The reason I love MN is that people don't talk in text speak and the wide ranging strong opinions you get from everyone. I was on netmums, hence the name, and couldn't stand all the hun and bubs so I came over to the dark side! Grin

worsestershiresauce · 26/11/2012 08:03

I'm relatively new on here, and from what I've read the posters on here claiming not to 'fit in' are actually the large majority. Does it matter anyway? It's nice to have a forum where people from all walks of life can share, help each other, or just chat about stuff. I like it here. Well mostly. I avoid the political stuff.

axure · 26/11/2012 10:05

What a nice bunch you sound!
I've got 2 SBTs and let them sleep on our beds and lick our faces.
Malibu & Diet coke is my drink of choice - wine makes me slurred and a bit argumentative!
I've got tattoos.
My cooking skills are generally limited to heating in the oven or dinging in the microwave, I'm just too lazy to bother with anything more ambitious.
I sometimes go to the shops in my slippers (and on occasion PJs but with a long coat on top).

5hounds · 26/11/2012 10:07

Il join, I have no children and 5dogs :/

LittleAbruzzenBear · 26/11/2012 10:07

Have been thinking of a few more!

I am currently watching Jeremy Kyle Blush
I do my make up for the school run
I have ugg style boots
I like reading the sun
I love cooking but DH and the kids turn their noses up at loads of stuff so generally I don't bother
I like nigella
I have a loo brush
I don't like dark chocolate
I like thorntons chocolate
