I think I'm definitely an outsider on MN, my kids arent gifted, we aren't rich, dammit we both have the work, full time! we don't live in a castle, shopat waitrose and certainly don't eat this good ham that y'all talk about Grin

Maybe I just go back under my rock?

Wait washable pads? People use them? In 2012?

MadameOneSword · 25/11/2012 21:17

Lol marzipan, kind of, but you were teaching us, I'm genuinely going to try it!

cantspel · 25/11/2012 21:19

yeah people rally pay mega money for a washable pad. They come in pretty designs and everything. God knows why they bother as you cant see the lovely cath kidson style fabric once you have it in your knickers.

MadameOneSword · 25/11/2012 21:20

Yeah and you've, we'll, you know......all over it, what a waste.

MadameOneSword · 25/11/2012 21:21

Although I can see a market for entertaining ones, with like razor blade, or mousetrap fabric Grin

can you imagine drying them on your washing line?

A row of little pads fluttering in the breeze. next door would think i've gone mad.

Budge up, not only does my ds like wafer thin ham doesn't drink water but
I don't think you should leave your oh because they farted or cut your friends and family out because they wear odd socks.
appreciate this advise is valid a lot of the time, but also think its quite excessive most times

LittleAbruzzenBear · 25/11/2012 21:28

I like this thread. Going by the number of threads I seem to have killed recently, I think I may belong here. We shop at Aldi and had to give up my car last year so we only have one car now, quelle horror! we have a leather sofa too.

Badgersnatch · 25/11/2012 21:28

The only weetabix we have are weetabix minis with chocolate

I had good intentions to be a lentil weaving super mum but I find that my children like me best when I let them eat cadburys dinosaur biscuits in front of tiny pop in their PJs at 11am. On a weekday.

I shout (constantly)

I swear like a trooper in front of my children.

I use a tumble drier every shitting day and I don't care.

I don't work and have no intention of working ever again.

FeckOffCup · 25/11/2012 21:28

Can I fit under the rock, I shop at asda, including clothes, never been to waitrose. I have naff black leather couches and laminate floor and worst MN sin of all, I let my toddler watch tv, cbeebies is a godsend in my house.

MadameOneSword · 25/11/2012 21:29

Welcome my buttery friend! I think you belong here, people don't really give out that advise do they lol

Ooh, and going to get flamed, but....I hate Boden. It's over-priced nonsense.

Justtheonemore · 25/11/2012 21:30

Just Googled Mooncup.

Now I know I don't belong here.

Figgygal · 25/11/2012 21:31

Can I Join too? I weaned my DS with purées and have never given him hummus Grin

MadameOneSword · 25/11/2012 21:31

We love cbeebies....apart from baby jake, he gives me chills

OP posts:
LittleAbruzzenBear · 25/11/2012 21:31

That mooncup thing isn't a MN thing is it?!?

LittleAbruzzenBear · 25/11/2012 21:32

Also, DS1 is 4YO and hates carrot sticks and olives.

sudaname · 25/11/2012 21:32

I should be fasttracked and given 'freedom of under the rock' l use a clothes airer too tightarsed to ever use the drier - its like an exhibition piece and l sometimes wear a fleece from tesco when walking dog.

MadameOneSword · 25/11/2012 21:33

We're gunna need a bigger rock! Welcome to the dark side ladies!!!

So beat you all!

cantspel · 25/11/2012 21:33

I am queen of under rock living as i at the momet am wearing a primark onesie

Badgersnatch · 25/11/2012 21:34

Thing is, you're gonna have to use some fairly heavy duty washing gibbons and a boil wash to clean those flowery fanny pads and that will probably destroy the environment that must be protected for the sake of your babies. So may as well stick with the always ultra.

Marzipanface · 25/11/2012 21:35

My 2 year old is next to me awake in bed playing on the iPad, having just wolfed down half a Dairy Milk.

She's happy and I am happy.
