I think I'm definitely an outsider on MN, my kids arent gifted, we aren't rich, dammit we both have the work, full time! we don't live in a castle, shopat waitrose and certainly don't eat this good ham that y'all talk about Grin

Maybe I just go back under my rock?

Ooh I love it when they put bubbles in the fountains!

MadameOneSword · 28/11/2012 22:28

So where is this place I need to move to? Bristol? Right, whilst I look for babysitting jobs in Bristol, perhaps one of you could kindly prepare your spare room for me (I'll bring you a onesie and a tin of spaghetti hoops as payment) and start spreading the word that there's some welsh meat on its way...

MrsRB, I just microwave strands of spaghetti they kinda go all crunchy and bubbly- almost as good as a biscuit really and a lot more value for money!

Cezella · 28/11/2012 23:41

Oh and just had a wee in my onesie, it's quite cold this evening but I'm sure my nipples will recover from the shock (especially when confronted with potential sperm providers in Bristol)

MrsRhettButler · 28/11/2012 23:44

Madame you haven't lived! the whole centre (almost) ends up covered in bubbles! It's lovely :)

I will try your spaghetti snack tomorrow Cezella. Grin

MrsRhettButler · 28/11/2012 23:46

I need to know how you discovered that snack actually. Did you just think one day 'oh I wonder what microwaved uncooked spaghetti tastes like' ?

Wertrude · 29/11/2012 00:29

Do I qualify? DH and I are renting my brother's flat, all our furniture is second hand (including the sofa which, sadly, is not leather but green velveteen). I love the pound shop, and all my ds' clothes are from Sainsbury's TU range. Can bring some pot noodles to the picnic under the rock... Curry flavour, anyone? Grin

VforViennetta · 29/11/2012 01:00

I think I should be here. Before I moved down south and got the internet, I didn't even know I was common and big fat wrong in everything I do, poor ignorant me.

I actually aspire to laminate and twigs, I'm more manky carpet and children's doodlings on my walls.

Maybe I should be in a rock underneath your rock?

Loveweekends10 · 29/11/2012 01:33

Well I live in a cardboard box in the bottom of a pit. We eat spam for very meal if we are lucky. Can I join in?

VforViennetta · 29/11/2012 02:12

I'm actually serious unlike spamweekends. Grin.

MadameOneSword · 29/11/2012 06:33

vforvientetta I just read that as "I aspire to laminate twigs" and I was like damn that's gunna break the laminator Grin

Scampi I like the sound of that rock, good thinking. Somewhere I belong at last!

prudencesmom · 29/11/2012 09:00

Looks like its a village here now!
RE onesies- not a good idea if you have the squits lol!

Cezella · 29/11/2012 09:06

Mrs RB- I confess I'm a little bit of a pastaholic, I know a bit too much about it and would eat it for every meal if I could. I aspire to cook it in many different ways so these spaghetti cookies as it were, were just another kitchen experiment (being a poor student) which turned out well!

InNeedOfBrandy · 29/11/2012 09:17

I don't have a spare room sorry cez, but move by me get ofstead inspected and we'll sort out breakfast club and school holidays child minding Grin

JugglingWithPossibilities · 29/11/2012 09:27

"I'm more manky carpet and children's doodlings on the walls"

We aspire to hiring a carpet cleaner and updating my children's doodlings - I kid you not Grin

ssd · 29/11/2012 09:39

I'll never start a thread saying

"we earn £70k, why are we still skint"

ever

wewereherefirst · 29/11/2012 10:44

We have a moth eaten hall carpet but I have posh laminate upstairs Grin

InNeedOfBrandy · 29/11/2012 10:49

I have ranjani floor laminate tiles in my hallway. They were 99p for a pack of 12 and have been on my hallway floor for years....

wewereherefirst · 29/11/2012 11:17

That is a total bargain! In your face expensive and non durable floor coverings!

InNeedOfBrandy · 29/11/2012 11:19

I know wewere! I even bought a spare pack in case I'd need to replace any at some point, I haven't yet!

wewereherefirst · 29/11/2012 11:30

I could possibly persuade DH to put new flooring down if I could get something at that price he does not spend money Grin

MrsRhettButler · 29/11/2012 14:55

Shut up! Rajani do laminate? Why did I not know this?

MrsRhettButler · 29/11/2012 14:56

I should have known really, they do everything else ever invented...

InNeedOfBrandy · 29/11/2012 14:58

No there black and white sticky back fake tiles not laminate. I put them down myself with a stanley knife. you just peel the back off and stick it down it's not wood laminate.
