Oh god was that really what it was about? It sounds like one of the rating groups on livejournal I was a member of many many, many years ago. I love it when MNetters act like 16 year olds Grin

Ahhh that explains your post then LDN...

Well I had to think of something, anything, to say so I could get in on the gossip. Plus, I knew you wouldn't really mind Wink Grin

The bit where it got really confusing was the bit where the Megalolz poster came on and rubbished the weird poster who randomly accused Worra of having blown up Ebay or something - but promptly started going on about being a founder member of some Ebay forum and knowing the true story.

So you had two strange people arguing about what happened on an Ebay forum and a lot of MNetters looking on going "Eh? Wasn't this thread about the Moldies?"

Unless, of course, the Moldies actually set up Ebay? Shock

But but but........... worra DID blow up Ebay! It was in the papers and everything Grin

I'm going to start accusing MNetters of being entirely random and fictional people from other forums, based on no evidence whatsoever.

I think everyone should know that Hully is in fact a prolific poster called Bob who was a founder member of a Doctor Who appreciation forum. She began a vendetta against me after an argument about which actor is likely to play the next doctor, and has subsequently stalked me across the internet, most recently hounding me off the VTech Toys technical support forum.

I just think people should know that she has this secret past....

I am still intrigued about the homes and gardens forum and what thrilling conversations about skirting board sizes they must have.

Wasn't shiney accused of being a homes and gardens uberbitch at one time?

What other forums do they have? Dinner Lady chat forums? Terrapinsnet?

That kungfupanda ran me off an animated animals forum, that was my only lifeline, because I didn't have enough legs for her and her four legged army.

I was on that thread and for about two blissful hours had some faint idea what the fuck was going on!

But then I had to go out.
But for a while there it was fucking ace. I was tempted to pm people

I had to go out as well and when I came back it was gorn.

How very dare you, Hester. That wasn't me, that was Pagwatch.

Who is actually the founder of a secret Netmums sub-forum where everyone's username is HUN for maximum anonymity.

It wouldn't surprise me if in a few years someone in america was offering a MN degree. I had no idea about this murky past.

That's mad. There was a breakaway forum started in blogging from one big huge popular old one after someone got a bit too up their own arse. That also caused annoyance as said breakaway person acted like a twat only allowed certain people to join the new forum, yet still stayed on the old one to shit stir have the best of both forums and spy. They also started a meet up thing, and gave their mates licence to bad mouth others on the forum, even though other nicer members immediately and with glee ran to tell those named and bad mouthed on the forum that they'd not been allowed to join. I was allowed but on telling forum owner that they needed to stop allowing this to go on, she then banned me too. Yawn.

However, these two forums still exist, no one bats an eyelid or calls for it to be banned, it (the newer one) has caused all sorts of anger in blogging, and now has Facebook groups where they still bitch and slag off anyone they fancy (and have caused major upset to those not as able to let it fly over their head as others) and a conference of its own. BUT no one bans discussions of it or gets the arse about it, we (the banished or never allowed to join ones who wont arse lick) just look at it as a bit Hmm and get on with it.

These Moldies lot sound the same but with more Boden. Did you have to do a secret knock/give vast quantities of Pombears to join? How absurd.

It is true though, words hurt whether spoken direct, typed on a screen or told to you second hand via a raft of PMs on Twitter (as with the above forum). I get told all the time that the forum has yet again ripped the piss out of me, my site, the whole thing. I don't give two hoots 9 times out of 10, but there have been times when I have been really down and didn't need to hear it that day.

Haha at my one good deed.

That sounds like my mother 'you did look quite nice that time when you went to sarah's party'. Just the once then. And thanks for the 'quite'.

Actually, having carried out some meticulous research, I can reveal that Ebay was blown up by someone called Veronica who lives in Milton Keynes and collects three-legged cats.

I believe ScrambledSmegs once met her, but she was calling herself Francis at the time.

Now her cousin, Ermintrude, now she's a right piece of work, but I can't tell you about that as it's not fair on Olga.

The moldies thread was predictable.

It was the other thread in Site Stuff that was a real shocker [cryptic].

But now that's gone too.

And my house is still a shambles [sigh]
