to be upset my dd was left with her shoes on the wrong feet

My dd is in reception and they held a spooky disco tonite. Teachers offered to get the children changed should they want to dress up . Went to pick her up and she has shoes on wrong feet , not impressed as there would have been lots of adults in the hall as there were 3 years taking part.
So changes her shoes over and goes home . Got really cross thinking bout how she had been left like that for the whole disco .
Gets home takes her costume of ect and her little feet have been rubbed so they are now sore.
Am I over thinking this or would you think at leasts one adult would have told her change them over . ??:(

Is she an only? Or your PFB by any chance? Yabu to worry about this...it's fine. I allowed my own dd to wear hers on the wrong feet the other day because she didnt want to stop and change them! It was only an hour or so...she won't have been harmed.

Surely if it were that uncomfortable she would have noticed!?

It is not uncommon for other parents to point out to me that DS's shoes are on the wrong feet. If they hurt him he would tell someone...

Lol ok so I am over thinking !! It's been a long week ! No she not my only one I got a ds(12)! Just the fact she came out walking like a penguin I though somebody would have noticed !! X

30 kids per class, assuming only class per year = 90 kids or thereabouts

My younger ds always had his shoes on the wrong feet at this age. I swear the law of averages would have said he would have got it right sometimes ? He often came home after gettign changed from PE with his clothes on back to front too, all of them. Didn't bother him so it didn't bother me! I wouldn't worry if I were you, if they really hurt she would have complained about it. It won't be the last time

She will Be fine. It happens all the time in reception and year 1.

I walked home from a restaurant the other week with both my shoes on the wrong feet

My daughter is the same age and came home from school yesterday with shoes on the wrong feet after gym.

I thought it was hillarious. She told me to leave them like that because it's 'cool'.

Her feet weren't sore either. I wouldn't have thought that much damage could be done from just a few hours of wrong-footery? Do the shoes fit well normally?

DS1 had his shoes on the wrong feet when I picked him up today - they had done PE.

Shame her feet got hurt but it's just one of those things. I see this loads on the school run, with the little siblings.

Ds's own Dad took him all round London in his slippers once . He forgot to remind ds to change to trainers.

It's compulsory for young children to do this, just like it's compulsory for them to remove hairbands and hair ties before a school photograph and to lose their front teeth before making their first communion or being a flower girl etc.

There was a photo of some school children in the Daily Fail a few weeks ago and one of them had her shoes on the wrong feet.

Ds1 came out of Reception with socks inside out and shoes on the wrong feet every time he had PE. It annoyed me at first but as it didn't bother him I let it go.
