My dd is in reception and they held a spooky disco tonite. Teachers offered to get the children changed should they want to dress up . Went to pick her up and she has shoes on wrong feet , not impressed as there would have been lots of adults in the hall as there were 3 years taking part.
So changes her shoes over and goes home . Got really cross thinking bout how she had been left like that for the whole disco .
Gets home takes her costume of ect and her little feet have been rubbed so they are now sore.
Am I over thinking this or would you think at leasts one adult would have told her change them over . ??:(

Sorry, but my 3 YO knows when he has his shoes on the wrong feet. Maybe you should teach your DD the difference between 'banana feet' and 'apple feet' as we call them in this house (no idea why those names are used)? That way, she can take responsibility for herself.

I think you are overreacting. There must be other, more important things to get upset about

I'm just amazed she's never had her shoes on the wrong feet before! It never seems to bother my dds if their shoes were on the wrong feet, yet if their socks aren't put on perfectly it's the end of the world.

She must never had had shoes on the wrong feet because mother either does it for her or hovers over her- as if it is a good thing.

When your dd does PE at school do you think the teacher dresses them? And why in a disco would any adult be looking at children's feet? Grin

I'd like to amend what I said to be a bit clearer. I had a picture in my mind of an adult at school putting shoes on the wrong feet of the child. In that case, my above post stands, but if she was left to get on with it by herself, then ignore my earlier post as it won't make sense.

I wish I'd thought of the dots thing a few years ago and I am also howling with laughter at all these adults going out in their odd shoes and shoes on the wrong feet. OP, wait till she comes out with her clothes inside out and someone else's jacket on...
