Now that Tee has confirmed that she was in no way or wise bullied on MN, and not on the thread referenced or indeed on any other, I would think that those that pointed it out as the ONE EXAMPLE of the bullying culture, might have the grace to apologise.

I missed it all yesterday but I am so fucked off with practically not being allowed to open my mouth on Mumsnet anymore.

That bullying thread was goading, pure and simple.

I am only interested in about 5% of threads on here these days - and am therefore very likely to run in to other oldsters who have been here for too long yonks and say, cor blimey Maryz (in a Dick VanDyck stylee), how you doing today?

I woke up in the night fretting that I may have been cast as a bully. I was all baffled.
I am overly anxious about upsetting people.

I really tried to engage and understand and be constructive.

I'm glad that Worra brought up Teletubbies. Hopefully that will dispel the image that comes to my mind every time someone mentions the PO.

I'm Po too. I like to think of it as actually engaging my brain on important subjects rather than randomly emoting. Sometimes people don't like it.

Hully,I think you did try and understand and be constructive.

Pagwatch,the trouble with large groups,is that they can be intimidating to some people.so I think they need to be mindful of that.
Also they need to be mindful of how they come across.
Most people in large groups in RL and on the internet have been previously bullied,often quite badly.
So they join groups to help themselves be able to cope.

Also what happens,is that the people in large groups,because they have often been bullied themselves previously,dont realise that light bullying is still bullying. They can get their boundaries a bit blurred.What is aceptable to behaviour to them,because it is light,is still unacceptable to the vast majority of people.

If Tee is sure that she was in no way bullied,then I apologise.

But I might try Dipsy on for size. A cross between Dipso and Ditsy.

To be fair to amillion, if I didn't know Tee, and saw an op disappear from her own thread after a gazillion jokey remarks, I might have thought she was upset too.

So joshing around can appear to be ganging up.

Which is why I'm much nicer more careful on threads with newish op's. I'm usually very nice to them unless they are deliberately being obscure and weird
