DP has just announced his parents have booked a last minute caravan in a haven park. I know i'm being stuck up, but I'm really afraid it's going to be filthy! I don't know if i'm more upset about staying in a caravan or the fact I might see FIL in his pants on the way to the bathroom...

I realise this is a Zombie thread, bit had to reanimate after a search to see if HAVEN now had wifi. We have no tattoos, have been going on haven hols now for 10 years (missed last year) and going again next week. We are people who are stereotypically supposed to holiday in Tuscany, DC in highest achieving indie schools. leafy suburbs etc, but we and the DC have always had a great time, and have always found the places clean and fun.

Were going to parren sands on Friday, staying in a super tent.
The kids are super excited. Never had a bad experience with haven Smile

I worked at the Haven park in Mablethorpe years ago. It was generally nice, although there were some bad incidents like an Irish traveller lottery winner family that had to be kicked off the site by armed police.

We recently went for a weekend break at Haven. I quite enjoyed it. The caravan was clean and there were plenty of activities for the children to enjoy. It was DH idea of hell though!

We've been on them and found them fine - but then we don't go in for the entertainment. We just drink wine in our caravan.

hamab, yes the DC aske us every year if we are going to the 'entertainment' but we drink wine in our caravan and look out at the sunset over St Ives...
