Perhaps Your 2 year old is just a cupcake looking for her stud muffin (so she can kick her legs about all night- WTF)?

Mine sure as hell isn't.

t-shirt at Zulily

Just kill me now. Even running the risk of an AIBU flaming isn't as bad as this fucking abomination.

Vile

Stud muffin on Urban Dictionary...

  1. Guy that gets the ladies easy, is always fishin' and....likes a muffin every now and then.
''Man, what a stud muffin that guy is''
  1. a word derived for a man who is in part percieved by females as a stud and with such a word as muffin added meaning that females also want to devour such a man as muffin would be from an oven
oh homegirls he's such a studmuffin i'd just love to be with him and enjoy the pleasures of a studmuffin like him

It goes on.

It's a play on the cupcake trend, but Holy Fuck that is too far. Cute picture yes, but to suggest my baby wants a guy to devour is too horrible for words.

Don't these people think?

It's not nice but wouldn't make me feel sick TBH, but then I rarely get worked up by a slogan on a T shirt!

RubyFakeNails · 23/09/2012 14:32

Its just bad taste, I wouldn't buy it (although I did buy that 'lock-up your daughters' one that mn hates) but to feel physically sick Hmm

I think you might need to get out more.

fairtomiddling · 23/09/2012 14:32

The t-shirt's a bit ick, but the write-up by the side doesn't have any sinister connotations to me... I think you read a bit too much into that one.

Wigeon · 23/09/2012 14:33

It's not that bad?! How is that in any way appropriate for a baby? Personally, I haven't seen anything worse - I tend to think baby clothes with images of lipstick, perfume, high heels etc are pretty dire, but this is much worse, surely.

KatMumsnet · 23/09/2012 14:34

Hi there, thanks to those who have reported this to us. Our Sales team will get in touch with Zulily to see if they'd like to post a response, but 'fraid as it's a rainy Sunday afternoon, we'll have to wait until tomorrow morning when they're back in office.

RubyFakeNails · 23/09/2012 14:34

Also don't most people know what a stud muffin is??? I would have thought it quite self-explanatory.

Empusa · 23/09/2012 14:34

Legless design?? It's a bloody t-shirt, do they refer to trousers as a topless design?

catwoo · 23/09/2012 14:35

'stud-muffin' is just a (dated) term equivalent to hunk

Nancy66 · 23/09/2012 14:36

Stud muffin means good looking guy, not 'cock' - i think some people are misunderstanding

HereLittleKitty · 23/09/2012 14:36

A response from Zulilly??

TidyGOLDDancer · 23/09/2012 14:36

What catwoo said.

OP, you may need to chill a little on this one.

PunkInDublic · 23/09/2012 14:37

How did you get "so she can kick her legs about all night" from "kick her legs to her hearts content"? Hmm I think it's sick that you got what you did from that.....

Not something I'd put my daughter in, cupcake and stud muffin are not phrases I'd use but I don't think it's sexual or even a feminist issue. As a feminist I usually stay away from these shirts but the boy is referred to in the same vein as the girl so my reaction is "blah, so what."

Wigeon · 23/09/2012 14:37

Ok people, this baby vest (baby vest) says "I'm cutesey and sickly sweet and innocent baby (cupcake) looking for a sexually attractive and sexually active young man" with added innuendo that muffin = vagina.

My sense of humour is failing me when clothes for babies suggest anything sexual.

Nancy66 · 23/09/2012 14:38

I think the presence of 'muff' is confusing some people.

Let's be blunt here - the T-shirt is not suggesting sex.

HereLittleKitty · 23/09/2012 14:38

muffin = vagina?

Seriously?

I think the problem lies with the dirty minds of people who re reading it that way!!

Empusa · 23/09/2012 14:38

"muffin = vagina"

Wait.. what?

DoverBeach · 23/09/2012 14:39

That is horrible. I get the cupcake/muffin thing, but 'stud muffin' is just dreadful.

TidyGOLDDancer · 23/09/2012 14:39

Wigeon, muffin does not mean vagina in this instance.

People are reading far too much into this.

Wigeon · 23/09/2012 14:39

"Stud" is not just a synonym for "hunk". A stud is a man who is very sexually active / promiscuous. A hunk is just a good-looking guy.

RubyFakeNails · 23/09/2012 14:40

Muffin= vagina?! Oh come the fuck on!

The most inappropriate word is stud.

Wigeon · 23/09/2012 14:40

Muffin = vagina and it's not ridiculous to think of that meaning on a t-shirt which is playing with sexual innuendo and puns.

TidyGOLDDancer · 23/09/2012 14:41

Wigeon, seriously, you're seeing what isn't there.

SaffronCake · 23/09/2012 14:41

For all of those saying stud muffin does not mean a lover, can someone get me a slang dictionary page which defines it any other way please?

It means lover. How porno/cute you want to read it is pen to discussion. As far as I can tell "lover" is not.
