to think that there is NEVER an acceptable reason to call a 32 year old woman a "young girl?"

No I'm not.

I couldn't care less what emotive flannel is flung about.

IT. IS.NOT.ACCEPTABLE.

The end.

Can I just say, so you don't think that we should all like being called young girls and just live with it in every context... I swore at a man today.

The man was promoting the franchise "Hire A Hubby"... he acosted me with a leaflet, I was brooding over this thread (and others) so not in the mood for that sort of twattery.

Anyhoo, I'm afraid I left the 'poor young chap' (actually he was 50 if a day) looking a bit bewildered at my rant. I did ask if he offered all marital services.

So thank you. I guess somewhere there is someone that doesn't get offended with Hire A Hubby, I did. Therefore I acknowledge that some people may find 'young girl' makes them cross.

I don't personally, but my experience today has given me insight into the opposite position.

Chin chin. Wine

Thank you for your sarcasm - was unaware that I was not allowe dot disagree with your assessment of the thread

This thread is nasty and full of smuggery. It's alienated me and I have been a friend to most of you, and a feminist.

Really am off now

limitedperiodonly · 21/09/2012 19:23

I don't think you have to understand the details of what I'm talking about. I think what I said was sufficient to explain why I'd had such an emotion response to these threads.

So you didn't explain what you were talking about QLB? That's what I meant by cryptic.

That's fine. I thought I'd missed something, that's all. You don't have to explain anything to me if you don't want to. I just want you to know that's why I didn't understand you and no other reason.

It hurts me too that you've misunderstood my posts, particularly when you suggested yesterday that I'd accused you of being hysterical. I didn't do that, did I?

I did say that you were aggressive to me and gave an example. But I'm willing to take it back.

So can we shake hands now?

SoleSource · 21/09/2012 19:24

:)

gordyslovesheep · 21/09/2012 19:24

I am a hammock ...I am also offended

oh and I would also find Hire a Hubby just bone grindingly awful and would need to say so!

IvorHughJanus · 21/09/2012 19:25

WTF is Hire a Hubby?

aldiwhore · 21/09/2012 19:27

Odd job service. No job too small. Aimed at, I assume, women who don't have a man to tile for them... I can feel myself getting rather irate just thinking about it.

limitedperiodonly · 21/09/2012 19:29

Smoking is a filthy habit.

I have vodka but last time I mixed it with wine I regretted it from about 4.30am until I crawled into bed at 9pm that evening.

Blistory · 21/09/2012 19:30

Jamie, take your magic torch and shove it. It's Friday night and I'd like to revel in my smuggery.

limitedperiodonly · 21/09/2012 19:33

Waves back to Sole even though she nearly had my eye out with that pipe

SoleSource · 21/09/2012 19:34

Lol!

TheBigJessie · 21/09/2012 19:34

I thought it was a gigolo soliciting.

My mother once found some cards from a male prostitute in a bus shelter outside Homebase. She's refused to visit Homebase ever since.

Bloody hell.

Jamie is always really PARD.

I think there is a lot of misunderstanding and misreading going on.

TiggyD · 21/09/2012 19:35

You wouldn't get male prostitutes in B&Q.

IvorHughJanus · 21/09/2012 19:36

Oh, how lovely Hmm Wonder what genius thought of that for a name.

sounds like they are offering man shags

TiggyD · 21/09/2012 19:40

They probably giggled like a nun in a hammock when they thought of that name.

TheBigJessie · 21/09/2012 19:41

Blistory for some reason, I find your post to Jamie really offensive. In fact, I nearly typed some things I have never said on any forum, ever. But my conscience the dames in my head said, "leave it, she's not worth it".

Blistory · 21/09/2012 19:44

I accept that my last post may have been childish however I found her last post churlish given the way the thread had gone.

TheBigJessie · 21/09/2012 19:44

Tiggy That's presumably why my mother always sends me to B&Q now. And she really didn't like me walking along down the Homebase road.

limitedperiodonly · 21/09/2012 19:45

Would someone say waht PARD is, please?

Hullygully · 21/09/2012 19:46

James?

James?

Have you been body snatched?
