Groovee, my Dad has that!! He had surgery about 12 years ago, and has an ace "scar" ( a big divot in his skull where they drilled a hole). He's bald (all the better to show off the scar) so definitely not related to hair-washing....

Eating crusts will make your hair curly. Eating carrots will make you see in a the dark. You can swim at school during your period as the blood will not come out in cold water (from my PE teacher, I chose not to put this to the test). You can't ride a bicycle whilst pregnant (this from someone I'd previously considered reasonably intelligent).

Taking a baby out in the night air was as bad as throwing it up against a wall, told to my GM, by an old doctor.

It was believed that night air was different to day air, when she was having her babies in the 1920/30's.

Dont bf, otherwise your baby will see you as a source of food and not love you, told by a family friend.

My grandmother told me that if you're ever impaled on a reindeer's antler, try and swing over it's head. Hmm

"My aunt told me to tie my 3month old to a table leg whilst sitting on a potty to 'get her started on toilet training'

Taking a baby out in the night air was as bad as throwing it up against a wall, told to my GM, by an old doctor."

Shock

Please tell me these aren't true?!

notanaxemurderer · 23/09/2012 06:57

I mean they're obviously not TRUE... gah ... too much wine.
