Move back to the city.

Petsinmypudenda · 18/09/2012 14:35

Wait till he put his out then go smear it in your shit

Sparklingbrook · 18/09/2012 14:35

I wouldn't ask him by the way. Grin

I now have visions of you somewhere in a lovely country cottage Envy

CailinDana · 18/09/2012 14:35

Tis a fine healthy smell as me mother would say.

Take a lungful, it'll tighten you. Won't affect your washing at all unless he's a pretty shit (haha) muckspreader.

Tweasels · 18/09/2012 14:36

I wouldn't want the farmer spreading his muck on my washing or anywhere else for that matter Wink

Sparklingbrook · 18/09/2012 14:36

i don't know what sort of muck it is but it reeks. I got the towels in the other day and they smelt of poo. Sad

Don't forget to ask the local birds to cross their legs this afternoon too!

Oh, and no web spinning by the spider community! :)

OneHandFlapping · 18/09/2012 14:37

It's vile isn't it? The smell spreads for miles, and hangs around for days.

mummymeister · 18/09/2012 14:37

muck spreading has to be done when the weather is going to be fine and before the ground frosts start so he is doing it when the weather tells him he can. he probably only does it a couple of times a year and its unlucky to have caught your washing on the line. could be worse - could be my neighbours mahoosive bonfire that is drifting miles at the moment!

Sparklingbrook · 18/09/2012 14:38

Luckily it's just the aroma reaching my washing and not the actual muck.

No country cottage I am afraid Hokey. We are the last cul de sac before the countryside starts IYKWIM.

Chicken muck is the worse, we found that out the hard way when we had a crash which involved a farmers muck spreader chucking mud and stones over the road into the car causing it to swerve.

Sparklingbrook · 18/09/2012 14:39

Oh Sirzy that's horrible. Chicken poo is awful.

Doesn't it have to be done by a certain date too, to comply with EU legislation...1st of October or something?

Disclaimer: FiL is a farmer but I glaze over when he talks about all things crop related.

Pancakeflipper · 18/09/2012 14:40

Ooh yes do tell the farmer to stop it < and report back their response cos I get it's going to a good one>.

GoldShip · 18/09/2012 14:41

The whole town smells at the moment because of this! Yuck

BaronessBomburst · 18/09/2012 14:42

The farmers here spread muck if it's predicted to rain the next day. Apparently it helps soak it into the ground. I suppose it depends exactly what kind of muck it is, though. It bloody stinks, and the last fine evening before the weather turns is always when we're planning a BBQ or to eat in the garden. :(

Tweasels · 18/09/2012 14:44

MIL told me that they are now using human poo on some farms. No idea where she got this gem from (this was a highlight along with the breaking news that you can get black dentists Confused)

I'll look for evidence...........

TheGoldenKnid · 18/09/2012 14:47

That does indeed happen, Tweasel. Grin

Tweasels · 18/09/2012 14:48

...............nope, no evidence. She's mad.

geegee888 · 18/09/2012 14:49

Yes, far better for the crops not to grow than your washing to get dirty!

Would you not have been better to buy a house in the middle of suburbia?

Tweasels · 18/09/2012 14:49

Really? Google has let me down. Damn my lack of poo/fertiliser knowledge.

Sparklingbrook · 18/09/2012 14:50

So it might be a good weather forecast warning then. Interesting.

Thanks Pancake but I think I will let him get on with it. I don't want my house pebbledashed. Grin

Harlett this is more 'crap related' than crop related. Grin
