Watching now. Teenagers being arrested. Parents seem to think that's fine and part of growing up. I cannot believe people like that exist...

On the 'making jokes about prostitute front' - it is actually possible to make wry jokes about grim matters while still actually caring about said matters.

I am a bit lost for words at the thought of us not being able to mock women? What any women? Ever? Or did you mean vulnerable women? Confused

wannabedomesticgoddess · 18/09/2012 12:06

I agree Proud. I was thinking why are the police checking she has food. It just shows how much strain SS are under. Which is probably why the 6 month old was returned to his mothers inadequate and neglectful care.

BupcakesandCunting · 18/09/2012 12:07

She probably earned more than a fiver as there were about 4 paying for it.

Imagine how many bottles of Frosty Jack...

Ah forget it.

Kayano · 18/09/2012 12:07

I did not compare her to a murderer, I am using an example to say its stupid to say you respect people despite what they do, because people do some fucked up things. Where do you draw the line?

EatsBrainsAndLeaves · 18/09/2012 12:08

Kayano - Do you really think the police will deal with woman like her the samne way as they will deal with you? As another poster said, if she had been raped, nobody would have taken her seriously.

BupcakesandCunting · 18/09/2012 12:09

I was just going to try and defend you on that point Kayano but you've managed it more concisely than I could.

EatsBrainsAndLeaves · 18/09/2012 12:09

I think mocking women for their misfortuine and shit life is not acceptable. And it is quite clear how little some of you here regard this woman as a real actual human being.

Kayano · 18/09/2012 12:11

No they wouldn't. It's like the boy who cried wolf. You should only say stuff like that if it has actually happened

Only he was a boy

And we all learned a lesson. This woman does no women any favours at all. Including herself

BupcakesandCunting · 18/09/2012 12:11

That's right, EatsBrains.

We must talk about everything ever so seriously and never see humour in anything because that'll make it all alright.

wannabedomesticgoddess · 18/09/2012 12:11

Kayano, I totally agree.

Any one that lies about being raped makes it harder for genuine victims to be believed. It shouldnt be like this. But it is.

I just hope that woman never gets raped. Because who would believe her. I dont think its the first time she has lied about it.

Proudnscary · 18/09/2012 12:12

As I said upthread, it is absolutely possible to make wry/throwaway/even bad taste jokes whilst still caring about these matters.

I think it's crazy to think otherwise.

Kayano · 18/09/2012 12:13

Remember that thread where someone was outraged about a cancer joke, and then loads of people with cancer or touched by cancer were all 'oh I tell those jokes'

It's a bloody grim world
Out there and we don't need people like her to make it any harder

TroublesomeEx · 18/09/2012 12:13

Brains but it's women like her who will have created (or at least reinforced) the belief that women like her can't/won't be raped or that it doesn't matter if they are.

People on here aren't mocking/disprespecting her for prostituting herself. She has disrespected herself and every woman who has been raped, or ever will be raped by claiming that she was when in fact she was there charging them for it.

Whatever her background, that is contemptible.

EatsBrainsAndLeaves · 18/09/2012 12:14

Okay I will wait for the jokes next about disabled children mocking their disabilities? Or mocking women in domestic violence situations who keep going back to their male partners?

But I think I will be waiting a long time. Because the reality is that you all know some subjects and some types of mocking are not okay. But you think that mocking a prostituted woman is perfectly acceptable.

Kayano · 18/09/2012 12:14

I'm actually not
Mocking this woman for her miserable life thanks, I'm condemn her for her disgusting behaviour

Just to clarify

Proudnscary · 18/09/2012 12:14

Oh come on I don't think her 'crying rape' will actually have any impact on anyone at all - I don't even think she did it with any conviction! She even said when challenged 'well done Columbo'.

Kayano · 18/09/2012 12:15

Obviously you didn't watch 'The Last Leg' during the Paralympics then Hmm

Ffs is it not bloody tedious being so offended all of the time?

Sirzy · 18/09/2012 12:15

I don't think you can compare a woman selling herself to teenage boys and then crying rape to someone who is disabled or suffering because of domestic violence

wannabedomesticgoddess · 18/09/2012 12:15

I think sometimes theres just no amount of respect or pity or empathy that would help anyone in that situation.

Maybe mockery is wrong. But maybe one day she will see herself through her mockers eyes and change. Probably not.

But how can we respect someone who flaunts their lack of self respect so loudly?

EatsBrainsAndLeaves · 18/09/2012 12:15

The "joke" was not mocking her allegation of rape. It was mocking her being prostituted.

"A fiver, though. What a bargain. Especially since he probably got a free portion of crabs with it."

TroublesomeEx · 18/09/2012 12:16

Proud - she might have given up the lie quite easily, but it might reflect on the next less than naice woman who reports a rape if they suspect she is also lying but just hasn't admitted it so easily.

No woman should lie/joke about being raped. It's disgusting.

Kayano · 18/09/2012 12:16

People will link any causes to win an argument though Hmm

TroublesomeEx · 18/09/2012 12:17

You keep talking about her "being prostituted" as though it is something that someone else was doing to her.

She was doing it to herself.

She is prostituting herself. She is not passive in it.

BupcakesandCunting · 18/09/2012 12:17

Jesus christ, I made ONE bad taste joke about a free side of crabs (he got a blowie under a pier, by the sea) and I'm being painted up as a cunt.

EatsBrainsAndLeaves · 18/09/2012 12:18

You think her being prostituted was a totally free choice? Really??

Of course this was not a free choice in any meaningful way
