Watching now. Teenagers being arrested. Parents seem to think that's fine and part of growing up. I cannot believe people like that exist...

OK, I'll leave this thread because I seem to be causing some upset. However, before I go I'll just this: when I left an abusive marriage my children and I
were housed on a really rough estate - we lived next door to a drug dealer. It was quite commonplace to see the sort of things mentioned on this thread, and quite a scary place to live.

We though, were fortunate, we could get out and move somewhere more pleasant, but that was because I had advantages most other residents didn't have. And of those advantages I think the most important was the fact that I knew life did not have to be like that.

Not everyone does know that though. Some people grow up in families that have been dysfunctional for generations, and while it might seem obvious, not everyone realises that they can lead normal, happy, productive lives. I think that is very sad.

Eats you totally deliberatley overlooked the fact that this woman has caused untold damage to the claims of genuine rape victims while you were busy being outraged for her btw.

Conveniently never mentioned it again while you latched onto te one joke on te thread

BupcakesandCunting · 18/09/2012 14:09

ps I don't give a shit that you don't like that I joked about a skaghead selling blowies under Blackpool pier. I joke about lots of things that you would probably hoik your bosom at. I won't apologise for having a different sense of humour from you.

Hateful, I ask you. Hmm

EatsBrainsAndLeaves · 18/09/2012 14:10

I disagreed that she did untold damage to the claims of genuine rape victims. Raped women are not disbelieved because of situations in this programme, but because people do not want to believe that rape of women is so common

Kayano · 18/09/2012 14:13

Right. So false rape claims do not ever impact on other women being believed....

Right...

Hmm

This policeman will have been touched by skepticism because of her and I don't see how you can e so naive to think this will have no impact

eats that last comment is so so wrong.

Glitterknickaz · 18/09/2012 14:31

Will those deriding those who don't like benefit bashing give it a rest please?
Unless of course you have incontrovertible proof that all the people featured last night claim benefits.

ADHD/behavioural issues are not purely down to upbringing. I'm disgusted at the bigotry displayed here whilst you're all crowing. Whilst I accept there are kids out there who don't know how to behave as they've never been parented I am deeply offended at those belittling my kids' life long disablities - oh but they don't exist do they, so I must be a really shit parent!

I was really saddened by a lot of what I saw last night. But I don't make disgusting generalisations from it. None of those kids should be living that way.

I know of families whose kids are being horribly neglected, they have one if not two working parents. Am I making massive generalisations about that? No.

Kayano · 18/09/2012 14:35

Who are you talking to? It it an earlier poster?

NowThenWreck · 18/09/2012 14:36

FFS can't believe Bups has been chewed out so much for a little "joke" that is actually dead accurate I'd bet. This woman shags people for a fucking fiver, yes I feel a bit sorry for her, to degrade herself so much but really she's an adult and it didn't seem that anyone was forcing her. She probably did have a habit to feed (why else would she suck off some spotty kid for a fiver???) but that's down to her.

Personally I think the cops handled it well. I was in tears at little Sam. Mainly because he was with strangers and not his mum yet seem totally unfazed by this. My DS (ok he's one but I think he'll be a mummy's boy for a long time yet) would be bereft with strangers and no mummy or daddy. His did seem to be struggling with her brood but that, imo, is no excuse to not have a scooby where your 2 year old child has gone.

thekidsrule · 18/09/2012 14:51

who is belittling your childs disability Glitterknickaz

god twas a joke this is what i meant on another thread abut being so pc everytime you post, its a joke, jesus some most go through life fighting every cause and never cracking a smile
